Sweet , nice pick up. I didn't even know there were any R8's for playstation (I'm not a ps collector though). I don't have any R8's yet :( , but I do have most of the R7's and R6's for NES. I really want that copy of Hot Slots on ebay right now , but it will probabley be out of my price range once it ends.

im kinda of an anal collector, if its not complete it worthless to me.

and its really hard and expensive to get a desent complete collection of nes games, i have some of my favorites but mostly try to stick to stuff i love AND can afford for now.

Oh, I don't collect complete games for NES. I tried doing that when I first started, but I realized that it's just about impossible (unless you are a millionaire) to get alot of complete games for NES. If you are going to collect for NES, I would really suggest a cart only collection. It looks just as cool as a complete collection, and will cost a ton less. Or at least collect the really rare games in cart only form, and all the others complete. Although, I see where you are coming from, because the carts I buy MUST be in mint condition, or I don't even want them. So I guess everyone has a little OCD in there collecting habits.

If your looking for complete NES games you shoud go to www.4jays.com/nintendo.html. They have a whole lot for real cheap.

I've gotten a few complete NES games before. I found one that even still had the Acclaim poster inside it, and it's on my gaming room wall now.

i have two or three of those posters. its not hard at all.

im just saying buying complete nes games is same as buying a new retail game, as most completes range 15-90 bucks.

of course i didnt get some nice finds, a complete, mint lot of Mario 2 and 3 for nes for 14 bucks. awesome

to each his own of course, i like having complete games on my shelf, it looks cool.

Congratulations on the find! I've been keeping an eye out for some of the rarer games since I got my DP Advance Guide ... I hate when you see something you think might be rare that turns out to be only an R2 or R3. I think an R4 is the highest thing I've found in the wild yet!

Congratulations! So how much did you have to pay for that rascal? I haven't gotten any new R8's in a long time, but I'm working on it. I just got a new R7 though, and for practically nothing too, only $20.50 + $5.00 shipping! X_x

Congratulations man!!

This week alone, I have found a couple of game stores lately that I haven't visited in a whlie, and have found 1 R8 and 4 R7's. Sweet deals too!

I came across an R8 only once, Fun N' Games for the SNES. Nice find. Oh, and vintagegamecrazy, my TG-16 freak friend told me he is coming to rob you. So I'd keep an eye out. ;)

You only got it because my sniping service didn't work for some reason. :(
I've been looking for one of those sealed forever too.

Congrats. :) I think the rarest games I got aren't any higher than R6. My collection has a lot more value than rarity, when I think about it. Anyway, I'm working on getting my first R7 on eBay, but considering it's an R7 and doesn't show up often and the fact that I'm stubborn about how much I'm willing to pay for it, it's probably going to take me a little while to get one.

Oh, and considering that the guide doesn't even give rarity for most Japanese imports, I wouldn't be surprised if some of the extremely obscure imports I have are quite rare.

I wouldn't count on that. My snipe was a pretty big nuke. I just lucked out. I was prepared to pay alot more for it, but I'm sure glad that I didn't have to!

And it may still be for sale, if the price is right, so make me an offer for it! ;)

Maybe later tonight, I'll curl up with a few good books (my DP guides) and see what my rarest games for each system is. Don't know if I have any 8's but I know I have some 7's...including Hurricanes for SNES and Tail of the Sun for PS1...

SHHH! Don't say Hurricanes too loud in front of Balloon Fight! That's what he & I are talking about here! You poor guy, I do feel bad for you BF, but that's why I don't trust any sniping services. They're still too unreliable to count on.

Well maybe so, but it's probably still worth alot more than the guide says it is! That's the only SNES game that I can remember not ever seeing for sale brand new in any store! I only saw it at rental stores and used game stores. So I think that it may be more like an R8 than an R7, because I used to go shopping for video games all over town back in the day, and I live in the 4th largest city in America. So if I don't remember ever seeing it for sale in any condition other than used, then it must be one hell of a rare game indeed! All the other R7's & R8's were for sale all over town here, but not that one!

I agree with you guys, that game is rarer than an R7 and it is worth more than $10 like the guide says. That should be changed in the next update. Good luck to all of you on finding that game, I know what it is like to be close to getting a great game and getting chumped, I had $200 the day I went to Sean's Chitown party to buy Bounty Bob Strikes Back for the 5200, I had called Sean earlier that week and he said it was a go, when I got there neither Sean nor John Hardie could find it, (How do you lose a game like that) so I bit the big one that day, that was a serious letdown. Now I will have to save up a fortune so I can find one on Ebay.

the funny thing is i had Fox Hunt for the PC (back when it was first released for PC, which i think was about 2 or 3 years before the PS release)

my dad picked it up for me for like 10 bucks, he though i might enjoy it. it was pretty damn good for an FMV game. seriously not bad.

i actually remember throwing the pc game away cause i was stupid or something.

Yeah, it's worth at least $20, 'cause that's what I paid for it! LOL HEHE sorry

Kamino, you got jacked on that Jack Bros? That's really rude! Give 'em hell!

I sure hope that I don't get blown on Hurricanes, I'm wondering if the seller will really send it to me for that cheap, or if he's just gonna try to chump me on it. I wouldn't really blame him if he did, but it's still his own fault for not putting a reserve on it, if he wanted to get what it's really worth out of it.

BTW, what do y'all think that sealed Hurricanes is really worth? I need to know, in case Baloon Fight wants to buy it off me. How much should I ask for it, if I decide to sell it? I have a good mind to put it right back on ebay next month, just in time for Christmas, but I don't really wanna just sell it.

Have you actually played Fox Hunt, though?

It's the only game that I know of that stars an ex-James Bond, a George Bush impersonator, and Rob Lowe.

By the way, the rarest game I have is a few R5's. :/

Congratulations! Welcome to the club!

The rarest game I've ever found in the wild is probably Team Buddies for PS1, which is also a R8. I once found PS1 Zoop for five dollars at Gamestop, but I passed it up, unaware of its rarity. :monkey:

Congrats on finding Fox Hunt. I've seen it at Gamestop before, but I've never picked it up because I didn't know it was rare. :/

I've got two R8's, both of which are for SNES.

Chavez II ($5.00 at a pawn shop)
