I was feeling bored today so i went through my mp3 collection and came across this....

Its a remixed soundtrack to the rather wonderful Nes game kid icarus, also has music from metroid & famicom wars.

Take a listen its pretty good. :D

Thanks a lot for that importaku, great remix, It keep the feel of the original and adds just enough extra to make it worthy of a 5:39 minute track. :)

Check out www.ocremix.org also, they have a TON of really great remixes. I recommend the recent Super Mario 64 - The Alternate Route Remix, and they have a great selection of Ducktales Remixes and an awesome Knuckles Chaotix Remix. All the big name games have tons and tons of very noteworthy mixes.

Is the soundtrack CD based off the Famicom Disk Version that takes full use of the extra FM chip?

sniperCCJVQ is indeed correct it comes from the famicom 20th anniversairy arrange soundtrack.

I have the full album, i'll upload as many tracks as my webspace will allow as i only have 55 meg of webspace free.

They should hopefully all fit on there, also have the zelda hyrule symphony album.

It has music from ocarina of time but its all ochestral. some of the tracks are really beautiful.

If it's got some nice remixes or symphonic mixes or the original theme, and you have room, can you put them on there as well? I don't much care for downloading the rest of them, I just love the original theme. :)

I love Game music. I don't know why, but sometimes I listen to it more than actual music. I burned a Katamari soundtrack to listen to in the car and played it non-stop for over a week.

Funny you should mention the Famicom Anniversary Arrange CD - we just did a blurb about this collection (there's more than one CD!) on my site last weekend (here (http://www.thelogbook.com/z2004/nov/nov8.htm), if anyone's interested, complete with ordering info). :D

FDS games don't "take advantage" of an extra FM chip...they sound worse than regular Famicom games. Far as I know, Kid Icarus only came out on FDS in Japan.
