Ok, here's the deal. Someone who is interested, can you tell me how to run a game? I'll then test one of the games that came with it and let you know if it works.
It's in good cosmetic condition with everything from boxes of discs, cassette player, cassettes (in books that seem to be for programming or something), a modem and more.
I really don't want much, a few SNES commons maybe?
Due to the weight it would be alot better if you picked it up or prepare to pay for shipping.

You should just be able to hook it up to the TV and just stick a cart in the slot and turn on the power on and the game should boot. Is the system sending a signal to the tv and will the thing boot into basic if it is turned on with no cart in the slot?
PM sent.

A TRS-80 Model III has neither a cartridge port nor a way to connect it to a television.
If you would be willing to ship it, I'd be willing to pay shipping. I know how heavy they are; I had to throw mine (with a dead monitor) away a couple of weeks ago.

Hmm, I fear I may have the same problem with mine.
I turn the system on and both disc drives spin, yet nothing happens on screen.
I turned it off and a small white light appears in the center of the screen and slowly fades away.
Any idea?

On the left side under the tube there should be two dials, the front one adjust pictures size I believe, the one towards the back adjusts the picture brightness, give that a try if you haven't already.
good luck,
Charles

How do you play games on it then?

Well that got the screen to light up, but it's showing wavy lines going through it.
The other one doesn't seem to do much. But for a moment some characters filled the screen.
Thanks for the help so far everyone :)
