Really thought I had a topic about this already, guess not!
So for those of you who dig checking out the images of the games we all love - by system - allow me to introduce the massive DP screen shot gallery. Thousands upon thousands of game screens, each of which will eventually be linked to the DP database. Quite a team we've got here.

The UPDATE includes over 260 Commodore 64 games courtesy of Flack, and what I believe is the first Memorex VIS gallery on the internet, courtesy of Luke Sandel.

Go Castlevania! Two games in the series feature on the page. Yay!
(By the way, that Medusa head screenshot really screams Castlevania: Resurrection.)

Very nice!! I was looking through the 32X and WHAT THE HELL? Sonic & Crackers?!? What the HELL is that?!? I can't really find any information on it other than ROMS are available to download-a-plenty.

Don't do it Joe!!! Nes-a-holic has some serious control problems. Even though he's been off the "sauce" (hasn't touched an NES) for almost a year now, the old cravings are still very much there. With his addictive personality, he needs our help and support to stay clean, sober and healthy. Remember what his "using" did to his kids?
Nes-a-holic, we're with you, buddy!!!

Neh i'm immune for that, call me Damian! :D
Gotta love things like this. There are systems out there that I've never seen, and it's nice to be able to look at how games appear on them. This place just keeps getting better and better.

Sonic Crackers is a prototype of Knuckles Chaotix. It has many flaws, since it not even complete.

In the works as we speak. Roundtable member "downfall" has provided me with literally thousands of screen shots, I'm just in the process of choosing the most representative by game for the online gallery. Stay tuned!

Pics as in screen shots? I've never had any luck getting clear screens using a digital camera. Everything you see on the site is either from an emulator or through a TV capture card.
If you're a pro or just know what you're doing let's talk though - PM me and I'll send you some basic requirements. Game ON.

Here's a little update for ya. Actually it's the biggest screen shot gallery update ever and in terms of DP site updates, the largest in the history of this organization.
... and yet, it's just another day here at DP HQ.
I'm talkin' about 3,050 screen shots added today, for ARCADE games. Though it's been years in the making, truth be told I dumped my "snaps" folder from MAME onto the site - EVERY one of these game screens was captured at DP HQ, however - these are not the generic snapshots you may find elsewhere on the 'net.
It will take you a lifetime to go through all the pages, but at least you can rest easy that the next time someone says "do you remember that arcade game...?" we'll have a visual to supply when we answer.
It's all right here:

Sorry for that! I suppose I could've organized 'em a bit better. ;)
But yeah, once I can get the rest of the shots over to DP and he takes care of the work on his end (which is no light job in itself), then there will be little left uncovered in the NES snapshot world. Joe is not kidding when he says it's thousands of screenshots - before I went through and chopped the number down (somewhat) to send to him, there were something like 12,000+ snapshots in my snaps folder.

The Fairchild is about as much fun as the screenshots make it look. Though I have to give it credit for the groovy controllers.

WOWIE!!! MAN, it's gonna take me a long time to just LOOK at all those screen shots -- I can't even imagine playing each one of those games to take them! Great job guys. It's stuff like this that makes Digital Press less of just a website and more of a web resource for ALL gamers.

All in a day's work! Your organization was just fine, and all the extras will be kept in the offline database - for the online ventures we really keep the two best ones we've got. Leave that bit of organizing to me.
Thanks again for the assistance and keep 'em coming!

dang that's a lot of good screenshots. Love the PNGs!
If I may, would it be possible to get underscores in the filename for SNES screens? There's no caption and I've had to look more than once to make sure I'm not hallucinating at some of those filenames ;D

Over the Thanksgiving holiday we added nearly 1,500 NES game screen shots. These are courtesy of forum member "downfall" with a plentiful supply thrown in by me as well. And there are more on the way!
Next step: these screens will be attached to the NES section of the online database so you will always be able to see "what it looked like" as well as everything else about the game. Note that our database also supports advertisements and/or box art: those projects are separate and also underway.
Enjoy.
