Ok...I have a Famicom up for trade that someone is interested in. However, it has no power supply so I haven't tested it yet. I THOUGHT that it was compatible with the US NES RF and power supply but I'm not sure and I don't want to fry the system! Does anyone know what I need to power a Famicom? It's an original Nintendo one, not a pirate.

Thanks!

100V 50/60 Hz DC 10V 850mA

Should be it. Check the threads from a few weeks ago (for a disk system post) I think somone posted an option in there for one.

Thank you thank you thank you! I'll go hit the Shack for one :)

Does it work with the US RF? Cause it only has selectors for Channels 1 and 2.... :hmm:

I'm going to venture to guess that it is the same. I think the channel 3/4 option is based on the console. I've never heard of an RF frying the system, so I don't think it would hurt to try.

Again, this is a *guess-timate*

Thanks Achika! :) Also, as an OT side note...I was looking at your room of doom on your site, and I have the EXACT same Orange TV! lol!

The ORIGINAL sega Genesis power supply will work. I've used it on mine, and I've heard other people using it to. It has to be the original ONLY.
Use at your own risk though:)

You will need to put the tv on channel 95, and you may have to adjust the fine tuning to get it to come in
