I don't think I've seen a post on it and a quick search didn't uncover anything but I was wondering what games people find funny (intentional humor not bad funny). Or if not overall funny games what parts of games do you think are funny.

I've always liked earthworm jim 1 and 2 in this area

I think Duke Nukem was hillarious, great one-liners and stripper solicitation. I must have spent hours pressing space bar on them and enjoyed every "shake it baby". The game had a great sense of humor, approahing the FPS genre with lightness and parody. It made over the top violence fun.

It's time to kick ass and chew bubble gum, and I'm all outa gum.

The Monkey Island games and the talk radio stations in the Grand Theft Auto games come to mind.

A google search found several sites that state a 1-31-96 release date which sounds about right to me... Then again it could be wrong.

Personally, the first two Duke Nukem games (the original, all three episodes) and Duke Nukem II had better original humor - well, there's really no contest as Duke Nukem 3D just stole lines from Army of Darkness. Still, can you think of a better line than

Next up - a cute story about a one legged dog that saved a baby!

Another hillarious game is System Shock 2. Oh yes. Thief's very long "I'm goin' to the bear pits tomorrow...you wanna come with?" dialogue mixes in bits of MontyPython and...other things, but it's funny every time.

Also, the fat hammer-wielding dudes in Golden Axe...and the death yells...I'm laughing just thinking about it.
