View Full Version : Metal Slug 4...What a dissapointment

Ok so i finally got round to playing MS4 today and i thought it was a disapoinment to the series...For a start many of the levels are just remixes taken out of the old metalslugs, also call me weird but the game just didn't feel right. The new bosses were weird and the levels themselves just did not feel the same...Although those two new chracters Nadia and trevor are nice. I'm thinking of submitting a longer review towards the review section soon
What are your thoughts ?

good points there, but for myself i enjoy all the metal slugs equally, especially love the fifth and first ones.... the car level on the fifth is a pure classic!

I prefer the 5th over the 4th. Metal Slug X rules them all. I don't know why i prefer X over the rest exactly.

For me i hate X the most...Its just messing around with the great formula of MS2 being my fave slug...The boss at the end of lvl1 was just crazy...How can you have a boss that hard thats at the end of a hellish mission on lvl3 only on lvl 1 it just doesn't seem right.

It seemed like with each Metal Slug they get slighty worse but that's just my opinion.

ive got a quick question about metal slug 2, why the hell in the zombie part of the game (right after killing all those oncoming buses) are there those little arrow boxes and weapons located on the ceiling?? how do you get to them????

I saw my partner doing that on kalliera but franky i have no idea...Maybe the D key?

my favorite is metal slug 3. even if metal slug 4 isn't as good as the others, i still gotta get it anyway.

Yea, a agree slug 4 was just a mismash of the previous slugs. It has the distinction of being THE HARDEST Metal Slug of them all.

I thought 4 was a let down as well. I like 3 the best, even though I've nto played through it in it's entirety.

Haha. Isn't Metal Slug 4 coming to GameCube? I heard that it was. Anyone know this for sure. If it is and even if it does suck, I gotta puck it up. Metal Slug is Metal Slug! :-P

part 4 is good, but it is my least favorite out of the series. 3 IMHO is the best!

I had a perfect mint condition Aes of Metal Slug 3 once. 8-)
I am going to get the MVS Cart of Metal Slug 3 soon. :)
I have Metal Slug 4 & Metal Slug 5 on MVS and i am going
to get,
Metal Slug
Metal Slug 2
Metal Slug X
Metal Slug 3
So i can complete them on MVS. 8-)
I only have a Consolized 2-slot MVS unit that i play on
my 52-inch Toshiba TV. :-P It's really cool!. 8-)

I have mint Metal Slug X,3,4 on Neo. Missed out on 5 when it came out.
Man, the Metal Slugs sure are scattered on systems...
1 for JP PSOne and JP Saturn
2 only for Neo
X for PSOne
3 for Xbox
4/5 coming soon to PS2.
...Jeez!

Slug one was as buggy as f**K there was a bug where you couldnt get past a certain level because it used to crash alot
