MMXCM:

PS2 or GC (which is better)? Unless the GC is stripped down, from looking at the back it appears like the GC might be better because it has GBA-GC 'connectivity' whereas the PS2 version doesn't list anything. ???

SMC:

I was looking at the GC version which has been out for a while, and noticed both the XBOX and PS2 versions have 6 or 7 additional games on them, that aren't listed for the GC. I didn't notice anything listed differently for the two, but I guess the XBOX is the best because it has 480p? Not even sure if it would be that noticeable with games that are already primitive...

i still need smc, so i will definately have to check this out. i didn't know that ps2 and xbox had extra games

EDIT: damn man, still no sonic cd. that would have rocked to get rid of some games like comix zone and ristar and put sonic cd on there. still, it looks awesome

For SMC, I hear you can save the Xbox version at any point in the game and come back to it later. I'm pretty sure that's not the case with the GC version, and I'm not sure about the PS2 version.

For MMXCM get the GC version because the graphics are better, it loads faster and there's GBA Conectivity.

The gamecube version of megaman x CM is the better version for not only the reason you stated, but also from (most likely) clearer graphics. I myself always get the ps2 version of multi-platform games as a last resort, they just always seem to be the weaker versions.

Sonic CD needs to come back badly...and it's true what they say about Comix Zone and Ooze, you need Sonic Heroes saved on your memory card

I prefer Sonic Jam for Saturn. I don't know about these new versions, but the Saturn version allows Sonic to Spin Dash in the origianl title. Way cool!

THE ONE, THE ONLY- RCM

that was a big plus..and I loved exploring "Sonic World"...we were so close to having an original Sonic game on Saturn...*sigh*

Plus I miss watching the Anime that was included from the Japanese TV series and the original Sonic 3 Commerical from Japan was funny lol

At least Mega Collection let's you read the Archie comics...but I dunno..I like the anime a bit more

What they should have done, is give you "Sonic the Movie" for kicks

Wait, to access Comix Zone and Ooze, I need to have a Sonic Heroes save?! WTF? Is this true for Xbox too? I HAVE Sonic Heroes...on GameCube!

I'm reading the GameFAQs board for the Xbox version now, and things aren't looking too promising. There MUST be another way to unlock these games. If not, they can forget about seeing my money.

I wouldn't mind if Comix Zone and Ooze were UNANNOUNCED unlockables that were in the game as rewards for people who suppported Sega by buying Sonic Heroes, but they're apparently advertised right on the back of the box, so it would be false advertising IMO if you really had to buy another game just to get them.

Actually, scratch that - I WOULD STILL MIND because I BOUGHT Sonic Heroes for GameCube!

It was the same way with SMC for the Cube... if you had Sonic Adventure 2 or a Phantasy Star save on your card, you'd automatically open up Flicky or Blue Sphere... but alternately you could play one game a certain number of times as well.

Well, the PS2 and Xbox versions are actually called "Sonic Mega Collection Plus" and will have Game Gear games that wern't on the GC Mega Collection. However, I believe the all the Game Gear games that are on the PS2 and Xbox releases can also be unlocked in Sonic Adventure DX on the GC. I already have Mega Collection on the GC, and I wanted Sonic DX anyways, so I'm going that route.

Bingo, on Sonic DX you get the 6 Game Gear games from SMC Plus, and even 6 more...so 12 on Sonic DX

Wow, really? That's pretty nice. I need to get that soon, and probably will, since I'm one GC title away from having 20.

Also, I forgot to mention that if you don't mind Player's Choice packaging, Toys R Us has a Sonic 2 pack for $30 that includes Sonic Adventure DX and Sonic Mega Collection. That's $15 a game.

Yeah you get all the Sonic Game Gear games ever made on Sonic DX, and I got that same offer down here at my TRU as well ironically.

Yet to quickly list those GG games you get:

Sonic 1
Sonic 2
Sonic Triple Trouble
Sonic Labyrinth (Only released in the UK I think)
Sonic Drift
Sonic Drift 2
Sonic Blast
Sonic Chaos
Tails Sky Patrol
Tail's Adventure
Sonic Spinball
Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine

Also another cool feature, you can play multiplayer mode with those Game Gear games (especially Sonic Drift having 4 player race mode now)
Just hook up another controller and press L&R together on the 2nd, 3rd, or 4th

and another cool feature...put the language in Japanese...and the Game Gear games change too!

Sonic Chaos and Sonic Triple Trouble will be re-named to 'Sonic and Tails" 1 and 2

I'm probably going to get the Xbox version.

As for the SH save, just rent it or borrow it from a friend if you can.

Wow, didn't know that. Perhaps I'll have to consider the GC version also since I do want DX.... However, how do you unlock them? O_O

in Sonic DX, just play the main game, Earn all Emblems to unlock 6 of them (180 in total) and there will be some missions by finding flags that match the color of the character you are (which is for Cube verison only, wasn't in DC)

Every 20 Emblems you obtain, you unlock a game gear game (first 10 you get, you achieve Sonic 1)

Every 10 missions (60 Missions in total..which unlocks the other 6) you complete will also unlock a game gear game

Sometimes it will unlock two.

If this is too much of a pain in the butt....get yourself an Action Replay...lol
