I was looking over some random GBC games latelly (just picking titles out - playing for 10 minutes)

Anyway, I noticed that most of the games are pure crap. Out of 10-15 i checked ...maybe two were worth coming back, and none were something i would play for more than a week.

I know there are some good games out there, must be some good games - GBA has a lot of them ...so GBC should have some too - rite?

People, you're leaving off a great Capcom game...Bionic Commando Elite Forces! Pretty good graphics, digitized voices and great gameplay.

If you're looking for a challenging game, pick up Shantae, released by Capcom. It's pretty dang hard. It was released for the GBC right after the GBA came out, so there weren't a lot made, so it might be a bit tough to find.

Arcade packs:
Ms Pac-man
Spy Hunter/Moon Patrol
Defender/Joust
(pass on Rampart and Klax BTW)

Prince of Persia (wish I still had mine)

the port of Cannon Fodder got good reviews but I haven't tried it...

Cheers,

Thinking about it, GBC really does have a damn weak library. But these all rock:

Bomberman Quest
Crystalis
Dragon Warrior 1&2
Dragon Warrior 3
Dragon warrior Monsters- BEST GBC GAME EVER!!!!!
Dragon warrior monsters 2
Ghosts 'n goblins
Megaman Xtreme
Megaman Xtreme 2
Metal Walker- a great unknown RPG with a completey unique battle system
Mr. Driller- BEST PUZZLE GAME EVER!!!!!
Pokemon G/S/C
Robopon: Sun Version
Revelations: Demon Slayer
Shadowgate Classic
Super Mario bros. DX
Zelda: Link's awakening DX
Zelda: Oracle of seasons
Toki Tori
Wario Land 2
Wario land 3

I'll second these. Bomberman Quest is the greatest Bomberman game I've played. Dragon Warriors is also awesome, a lot better than the second one, IMO. Pokemon Gold/Silver/Crystal are the best Pokemon games to come out; screw Ruby and Sapphire. Link's Awakening is great, especially if you're into Zelda, and is one of my favorite Zelda games. The same goes for Seasons/Ages, although I've mostly played Ages. Two very good games. Metal walkers pretty fun, and has a pretty cool battle system. Revelations is pretty good if you're into the whole cathing monster/raising them genre.

Another game I'd suggest is Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins. A very good Mario game.

Depends on how you feel about the original, but - as said above - Dragon's Lair is amazing. They actually crammed a laserdisc videogame onto a Gameboy cart. Incredible.

If you don't like the original, you'll hate it though.

Deja-Vu 1 and 2 is a great one as well if you like the genre.

I've played R-Type DX. If you didn't like the original...you certainly won't like this. Very stripped down feeling, uneventful shooters (plural, in that it's got original-style and enhanced color versions of R-Type 1 and 2, plus something else).

I much prefer Gradius: The Interstellar Assault.

Metal Gear Solid. Best. GBC Game. Ever.
If your looking for an RPG Get Dragon Warrior 1 & 2. Gotta Love the Classics!

The one bad thing I can think of with Metal Gear Ghost Babel (in Japan they didn't cop-out with the game title) is that the character portraits suck hardcore. The look and sound of the game, though, is totally awesome, and the control is great :D
