I email the guy:

"Hi, I asked about your other system holder. I would like to know what the combined shipping would be for both of these holders to Chillicothe, Ohio 45601. Thanks!!"

He Replies:

I WILL COMBINE BOTH ITEMS

I reply

Hi again,

That didn't answer my question. I included my city and zip code because I would like to know how much combined shipping will be. I'm sure you understand that I don't want to get to the end of the auction only to find out that shipping is a small fortune.

Thanks!!!

Jay

He replies

$10.00 for one

I reply

You really don't want to sell this do you? Either that or you want to screw me on the shipping. You're being extremly evasive about how much the shipping is. I think that I have been very clear on what I am asking for but you refuse to give me a straight answer. Does $10.00 for one mean $20.00 for two or does "I will combine both items" mean that it will be less than $20? I'm really confused her and you're not much help. Could you just tell me what the total shipping cost will be to ship both items at one time to 184 Caldwell Street Chillicothe, Ohio 45601?

So, am I missing something here? Am I being a dick for being so persistant? Any thoughts on why this guy is being so evasive?

With his Feedback Rating I wouldn't buy anything from him. :/

There's only one reason people are evasive on eBay. And it ain't a good one.

Thant's kinda what I thought. I imagine he's pissed cause he's not even getting his $1 starting bid yet.

This guy does so much business that a negative feedback left today would be buried three pages back by tomorrow. I guess a person who does that many transactions per day can afford to have a few negative.

Report them for fee evasion - their shipping policy MUST be on the page; eBay doesn't allow auctions without that.

Right now I'm still waiting for eBay to kick out a number of auctions that I simply won't pay for after I found out that the items were all counterfit and the seller's "combined shipping" was a 10% discount off the shipping total - we were talking about $10 an item which would've been fine for one item, but not for many.

Anyhow. Yep, once you've been burned like this once you won't let yourself get burned again! :P

Well, He finally replied to me today. He said 13 dollars for both. I suppose that is ok based on $10 for one but I'm so irritated for having to ask so many times that I really don't even want to bid now.

Hmm.. Well, he could just be being sarcastic. I don't see where he said in either of his auctions that he even offered combined shipping, but from the message you sent, you assumed that he did. That's one possible take on it.

Well if it's any consolation to you, the high bidder on the SNES game holder has a feedback rating of -1 and appears to be quite the non-paying bidder.

That's true but his initial response of "I will combine shipping" indicated that he would and I still felt like he was giving me the run around with making me send him 3 emails to get a specific answer. Point taken though.
