Comedic video games

I'm looking at Christmas gifts for my bro, and he really enjoyed Armed and Dangerous a lot. He loves comedy movies and that game in particular, and I was wondering if they were any other "comedic" games, other than the new release Bard's Tale?

Umm... I really can't think of all that many comedic video games. The only one that I have that I think is funny is "Conker's Bad Fur Day" for the N64. It's a pretty funny game, and is actually a very good game too! Other people say that Earthworm Jim 1 & 2 are funny, but mostly just because the main character looks really funny.

Katamari Damacy is hilarious in a "did I eat any funny mushrooms today?" way.

Disgaea is frequently very funny. Nothing like equipping a horse wiener.

The new Lesiure Suit Larry game is quite funny, thanks to a raunchy and mature script. ;)

I've always thought most of Working Design's games were LOADED with humor, as they Americanized the translation. (one big exception being Arc 1 and 2 -- depressing games, although gun. 3 is LOL, thank God! :) )

Okage Shadow King is a pretty funny RPG, It reminds me alot of the Tim Burton Film, The Nightmare Before Christmas. And I agree that Disgaea is really funny. Escape from Monkey Island and Liesure Suit Larry are pretty funny as well.

Along the same vein, I always thought that a hilarious game was Sam And Max Hit The Road. Never failed to crack me up.

Grim Fandango's pretty good and should raise a chuckle here and there, as should most of the Monkey Island games (especially those with Murray!). Giants: Citizen Kabuto is also really rather hilarious ("We're going to Mah-Jork-Ah!")

Conker's Bad Fur Day is the funniest game (and Best Game) I've played. ...Get him a confirmation slip that you preordered Conker: Live and Reloaded :)
