View Full Version : What are your favorite portable racing games?

I'd really like to get more racing games for my GBA. I decided to make a thread here, but instead of just asking for recommendations for GB, GBC, and GBA racing games, I figured I'd do something different.
So, tell us your favorite portable racing games, and not only will it help me figure out what's worth picking up, but maybe it'll help someone find a good racing game on Game Gear and such.
So far, the only portable racing game I own is Karnaaj Rally for GBA, which I just picked up earlier this week and haven't played yet, so I can't throw anything in myself.

Obviously, the two F Zero games are top notch. Colin McRae Rally 2.0 is my personal favorite though. Top Gear Rally is nice as well. I also recommend any of the 3 GT Advance games.
Well.......it's GOING to be Gran Turismo :D
On GBA? I liked every last one of them....but especially Top Gear Rally. I liked it so much that I used to run it on my Cube through my GameBoy Player.

Well the only GBA racing game I have is Mario Kart, but I really like it. It's just the SNES version ported over. Plays well on the GBA.

I haven't played most the GBA games being mentioned, but I've always thought Super RC Pro-Am for the original Game Boy was a good racing game.

The Gadget Racers/Road Trip/Choro Q games for GBA are quite entertaining.
I also enjoyed Top Gear Pocket 2 for GBC.
And you can't beat Super Off-Road on a GBA with appropriate NES ROM playing accessories and some link cables. ;-)

Konami Krazy Racers (aka Wai Wai Racing) for GBA (This Konami mario kart clone rocks) Having Parodius, Gradius Ship (Hidden), Goemon, Grey Fox, Dracula and more as playable characters is sweet...plus awesome remixes of known Konami tunes is tight...but man this one is fun!

GT:Advance for gba was great...Ive had it since sept 2001 and still playing it to this day

Rock N' Roll Racing is good if you don't already own it on another system. Unless you've always wanted a portable version, then you're in luck! LOL

Krazy Racers is a weird but awesome GBA raacing game. I liked it more than mario kart. F-Zero is also a good, fast-paced GBA racing game.

Sega Arcade Gallery for the GBA, has a excellent version of OutRun on it.
On the Atari Lynx, you can't go wrong with Checkered Flag and Championship Rally.

GP Rider for Game Gear, basically it's just Hang On ported to the Game Gear, I like it a lot. Very smooth graphics and control.
