Might have been posted before, but anyhow...

We got our DS display unit at the store today, complete with Metroid demo.

The gaming press was right about one thing: once you get the thing in your hands, you really begin to see the potential of what it can do. That, and published screenshots have certainly not done the graphics any justice -- they're amazingly crisp, and the screens have excellent resolution.

Oh, yeah, one more thing. All the SNES fanatics will be happy to know that it does, in fact, have all the right buttons in all the right places to properly emulate that classic system. Using the stylus and the buttons, one could even conceivably do a version of Mario Paint!

I'm definitely getting this on launch day. I might wait a bit on games, though, since there's only going to be five titles available on the 21st. Game prices should be reasonable, though: our store has price points of $29.99 (for Mario 64) and $39.99 (for everything else).

Anyone else experienced the DS yet?

The Wal-Mart I work at received one. Didn't get a chance to try it out...
