Ok just picked up a Sega Gamegear with a bunch of stuff from a Pawnshop.

I got 3 Problems.

1. Screen is scratched, anyway to replace this?

2. Battery Pack doesn't seem to want to charge. I am chargin it with the normal plug into the wall ac adapter and the light on the battery pack doesn't want to come on. The ac adapter works fine with the gamegear so that isn't the problem.

3. Lastly, has anyone ever tried putting their gamegear carry case into the washer? 8-) The one i got is really dirty .....

I tried lookin in the Restoration / Technical section of the forum but couldn't find any info on any of these topics!

If anyone has any info on any of my problems, any help will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in Advance!

For the first problem, I know that some online stores sell replacement screens. I wouldn't know about the other two, though.

Yeah I was just lookin at that.

But how the hell do you replace it? The screen looks like it is glued on there and doesnt look to easy to remove?

Yes...EBAY.

Try doing things the opposite of the way you think it is. I thought all mine were dead but when charging, turn the switch to ON, and when you are playing, turn it to OFF. Yes, it makes no sense but it should work.

Yes, mine was the same way. GENTLE CYCLE. :)

You just use a small flat-head screwdriver and pry up one edge and then the whole screen comes off.

Then the knew one comes with sticky tape and you just press it on.

Be sure to do it quick so you don't get dust on the screen. I hold mine upside down while I'm doing it so the dust isn't able to settle on the screen.
