Ok guys I've heard WAY too many problems with Paypal. A recent buyer recieved a NEW copy of the Silent Hill 4: The Room soundtrack that I got for preordering the game. Anyways, the guy emails me today saying "Is this all the songs on the CD? I want a refund". Immediately warning bells go off. No way I'm giving a refund on an item unless its damaged. I hate negatives really bad though, so I email him, saying I will offer a partial refund because I had to pay for shipping, ebay feeds, paypal fees, ect. I said if he sends it back to me in the SAME condition I will give him a partial refund. Since he payed with paypal I'm freaking out, I've heard horror stories of them giving the money back to buyers no matter what, so as soon as I sent the email I removed my credit card info from my Paypal account, sent the money in my account to my dads account, and transfered the money to his bank account. Did I overreact? No way this guy is gonna get a free ride while I get stuck with the bill. Will paypal freeze my account if I refuse to do a full refund?

Paypal will only demand you give him a refund if:
The item is not as stated in the auction.
As for the negative .... dunno man , I try not to let people with under 10 feedback bid on my stuff.

I think I know what that bastard did.... He might have transferred the songs to his comp. He should go to hell if he did that and still get a partial refund for it too......... Btw, what about Dragon Force? lol, I've sent you a pm such a long time ago...

I can't stand people with lots of feedback that can't grasp the simple concept of "know what the hell you're buying before you buy it".
Anyways, Paypal is sort of like Dell computers. Both are great companies and both provide great services/products. But since SOOOO many people use them, obviously you're going to hear MORE complaints than say....bidpay.com.
I've been using Paypal for 5 years now, and my problems have been minimal. I think it's a great company but gets a bad rep mostly because the handful of problems are focused on instead of the millions and MILLIONS of users that haven't had a single one.
Actually, most of the Paypal problems are user-caused anyways.
And again, there are going to be those few people that jump into this topic, link you to www.paypalsucks.com , and swear up and down that Paypal is "OMG TEH SATAN" based off of one bad transaction and reading other transactions.
but yeah, you jumped the gun a little, LOL. No biggie though, he got what he paid for. end of transaction!
Can you link up to the auction you sold?

I would have ate the negative and told him where to he could shove the CD. But that's just me.
As for the paypal issue, never hurts to be carefull.
