UK rental only Playstation games......

I have a rental only copy of Kurushi Final for the Playstation.

It is in a plastic case, but normal PS case size. It is PAL, and on the disc in big letters is printed "Rental only not for resale" and also a big plug for the Sony Powerline helpline.

There is no manual, instructions are printed on a paper insert.

Does anyone know how common this is? Is it worth anything?

Did this game have a normal PAL release or was it rental only? If it was rental only, were there any other PS rental only games.

Yes, it did get a normal but limited PAL release.

I would imagine it is as rare or common as any other copy of the game - Perhaps worth a little less seeing as it is an ex-rental version.

Games like Star Ocean II and Suikoden seem to do just as well, even if they are ex-rentals.

My mate recently sold one on eBay for around £16, so that should give you a fair idea of it's worth.

Kurushi Final is the same game as IQ Final (Intelligent Qube 2, more or less). It's not really a homebrew, but the guys behind this game and Devil Dice started as Yaroze programmers before being hired out of university as an internal dev team at Sony Japan named Shift.
