now everyone knows about it... i guess it was only a matter of time. And the worst part about it... they GUY REVISED! it was listed in a way that it could have ended and no one would have known, except a few.

Exactly what I was going to say. Why would you post this when maybe someone here could have won if for cheap

punkoffgirl

Oh lord, stop complaining, people can feel free to post any auctions here, any time they want, and not be brow-beaten for it.

kevincure

While I have no problem with people posting links to auctions, I certainly see why people would be upset, especially if the auction is misnamed or something similar in the title.

It appears that way because that is what the company did. They bought all of the extra Caltron carts and just stuck another label over it

Yep. And in fact kiddos.....

I do believe it says that in the dp guide.

Anyhow , I just want you all to know I am bidding on this.
My ebay name is scorpions992000

I know in the past we have had an unsaid rule about not bidding on something others were bidding on from dp. But I am thinking all bets are off on this one ?

In any case

I don't. It's eBay, it's a public auction website, not some kind of private side deal.

Damn you all !!! I thought I was the only one who noticed that , and that I was going to get it for $2. LOL , yeah right. Although I was extremely suprised that no one had posted the link to it on any of the gaming boards that I go to, but I knew it was only a matter of time. I wasn't going to get my hopes up though about no one finding it , because I knew that at least 25 other people on this site were looking at it just as I was. Anyways , my ebay name is Rodneymullenrules, and I am still gonna throw a decent sized bid on this badass.

I would have done the same thing, guys. If I ran into something that I knew people on here on DP were looking for, and had no intrest in bidding on it myself, I'd post it here. How am I susposed to know that someone else has allready seen it and was planning on getting it quietly? I want to help people here, so I'll post the auction.

Now, if it's something I actually DO want -- rare, but let's say for the sake of argument that it happens -- I'll stay quiet on it until it ends. But if someone else here finds it and posts it, I won't be too upset. With the people here, rare grabs are going to be VERY hard to get. It's just one reason in a hundred I use Amazon or Yahoo instead of EBay to buy/sell. ;)

Yeah that seems like a good idea, but what happens if this became one of the big gaming portals on the net, noone could bid on anything cause we're all looking out for each other. Now if I had said item already I would let someone else have it but that would be about the only case, ebay is for whoever wants it imho.

So... how close is this auction to the Kingwood Texas area... where Myriad Games Inc. was located?

I say, it is every man (woman) for himself! I only look out for other people if I have the game already! The way I want it, complete! Even then I pick up extras if they are cheap. There was a discussion of the Myriad or Caltron 6 in 1 being as rare as the NWC. I think now we will see how badly it is wanted. :)

I am watching but won't be bidding.

he must of really wanted it.

I'm suprised darth vader didn't pop back up out of nowhere (where has he been lately?) and snag it. I know it's the last NES game he needs.

Considering it's been the only one on ebay in quite some time, i'd say it went for around what i expected it to go for... maybe a little less. BTW, that other guy tossed in a horrible snipe attempt.

Personally I think you got a great deal. I figured your bid was higher than $275, so why even bother for bidding. I'm glad that the seller didn't get the $400 buy it now that he was hoping for, because that would drive the price of this game up like crazy, and I want to spend around $175-200 for a loose copy in the future (hopefully).

not sure, but she's the reason i paid over 200 for my Stadium Events Manual and FFF Pad. Oh well... worth every penny :)

Definitely not a woman. I have sold to thetanone (Rick). I just bought his factory sealed Pirates game too. I know I overpaid, but it was one of the last factory sealed games I needed to recover those I owned while growing up.

I have seen that game sell for $80 complete before on numerous occasions so I can always sell off my other to replace it. I've also seen it go for $20 complete with the map even.

The last complete Myriad on eBay (unless one slipped past my sensors) was in June 2003 and it ended at $308. There will obviously be a substantial appreciation in that dollar figure next time. It could get ridiculuously expensive.
