No man. Heavy sixers are just the early six-switch ataris and are heavier than the later models. They are considered more desirable.
This was the original model of 2600, and made in California, right?

Yep, the heavy sixer was made in Sunnyvale, CA for 1 year (1977) and then ATARI console production was moved to Hong Kong & Japan to make them much cheaper to make when ATARI took off and was so popular.

Most people are unaware that their Atari "Woody" is in fact a heavy sixer! I have seen loads float by on eBay, and th sellers are oblivious to the fact.
Some sellers have sold a few over the years (Like my mate) and wonders why some sell for more than others. I know, you know, but I sure as hell ain't telling him that! Lol. He can figure it out himself!
He has sold at least two heavy sixers that I know of out of about 30 Atari Woody's he has had. I am not sure about all the others though. Chances are he has had a few more that I haven't seen.

Doesn't look like a heavy 6er to me. Ture heavy 6ers have very thick plastic on the sides. The part of the sides that you see looking at the unit from the top is about 1/4 inch thick. That thick plastic makes them heavy

I would have to ask him to send me a pic of the copyright\serial number sticker before I made any bids on it to be sure its a 6er but at a second look it doesn't seem to be a 6er. Sorry false alarm :(

nice mate you are.....if hes your friend, you should tell him about what he's selling ..... if my friend was gonna sell something worth a lot of money for a very low price i would tell them about their mistake

Its for my little girl you gready bastard...lol. I thought about getting her e agame gear but she already has a ton of genesis games (and so do I) so I thought that would be best (more expensive but best non the less)
