That's purty. :D

The box it comes in is pretty snazzy too. Is this being released in North America?

Well the cool thing about handhelds is importing. No reason any of us couldn't buy a European SP.

But if someone in North America gets an European SP, they'd need some adaptor to convert our electric voltage to the one needed for the SP, right? At least the JAP SP has that as an advantage: no fear of frying it by accident when it comes time to recharge it.

Well i heard you dont need that, since the GBA SP's power supply is external..should be easy to just use a 120V US NTSC PSU...but I need a "PAL" to help me out to make sure that is correct

Well, easy enough... anyone who's got an European SP, what does it say on the label on the back of the SP?

I just ordered the game (Not the SP) from www.gameplay.com and they sent it out no problem, so I guess that's a good site to use for these europe first GBA games.

I have one thing to say...

ICE CLIMBER?!?!

Tell me it was the only game they had in stock. If you picked this over Metroid, Zelda, etc. you need to see a doctor. :)

I couldn't figure out what the big deal was, it's just a gold-colored SP.

Then I saw the Trifroce on the top lid, and now I'd kill my mother for one.

It's the small things in life, ya know? :D

That's fucking awesome!! So beautiful! The box is probably better than the system!

SP charging is external. So you can use whatever power charger is appropriate for the country you are in with any SP from around the world. So I have a UK SP charger, I can use it with SPs from Japan or US. Likewise anyone in the US with a US SP charger can charge one from Japan or Europe.

Or do what cheeky people I know do, and use the USB port on their PS2s to charge it up! Not quite what Sony probably had in mind for it LOL

I am sorely tempted to get the gold SP as it looks so nice :)

Cauterize, where did you buy? Is the "free NES classic" for any shop or just certain ones? I was actually sure you'd get Minish Cap with it to be honest!

That is so skanky. Remember the Pokemon ones? They had a massive box which contained the special Pokemon SP and the relevant Pokemon game - IN A PROPER GBA BOX!

Nintendo have been skanky by bundling this game loose in a normal SP box. I was going to get this SP with the game, but I don't want a game which doesn't have a proper box of it's own.

Yes, I know, i'm going to kick myself in a few years time if this turns out to be the rarest GBA SP you can get, but I have my standards...

Maybe any other time I would simply buy the game separately too, but why should I?

Buy the system and either:

1. Sell the game and later replace it with a brand new boxed version

or

2. Keep the game and later trade with someone for the box and manual

I mean... is the SP any more expensive for having the game bundled with it? And it it is more expensive is it the same price as if they had thrown in brand a new GBA game?
