Do you need a deck, or an entire set? I have a couple of fixable decks, and a large number of fixable paddles and sticks, but they usually end up on Ebay after I put the work into them.

With about 8 common games my restored systems usually go for $80 to $100USD. I'm willing to go down some from there (for a forum member / no games) if you need a complete set (deck, orig sticks, paddles - all working perfectly), but be aware, refurbishing these parts to original working condition usually takes me about 4+ hours. (I've got a buddy at a flea market who keeps me swimming in parts and broken decks)

Have you tried a Goodwill or Value Village thrift store? 2600's are the most common classic deck find by far(excepting the NES). Most of mine have came from those places, and occasionally the deck is problem free too. They usually cost about $10. That's a good cheap way to get one, and that's how they get found by collectors and Ebayers.

If you want me to fix you up, email me at oldschoolgamerNOSPAM@shaw.ca . (remove the NOSPAM)

$80-100 with 8 games? tell me your secret because all the finished 2600 w/ 10 games or less auctions I see end in their $30-50's regardless of "mint" or "refurbished".. only thing that seems to raise value is Boxes and shrinkwrap.

I must know!! Tell me the right combinations of W@W and L@@K! Sooner or later I'll have more 2600's to sell, Tell me your secrets Dammit!

I also have about 10 extra of these :P Plenty of controllers, power supplies, maybe 100 different spare carts. Again if you can pick it up in atlanta, would be great, ill cut you a nice deal on them.

Some of my recent auctions:

No secret. Lots of detail. Not AS-IS. Good pics. Try to make it like I wish all Ebay auctions "should" be. Honest seller, well tested. Granted, one of those Atari's did go into the $50's like you said Raedon. It is Ebay after all, and YMMV.

First you posted that you were looking for a FAIR priced 7800 and now you want a FAIR priced 2600 (capital letters yours). You throw around the word "FAIR" like you're afraid someone here is gonna rip you off. Just make an offer and say what you're willing to pay rather than casting these aspersions on the character of those who trade here.

Bingo. Now that sounds fair. I'll look around town this weekend and see what I can find. No promises though.

By the way, I'm assuming you'll foot extra for postage for the beast too.

You see, I would've done that (assuming you don't care about controllers), if you hadn't said this:

Now, I figure you are likely better off finding one your own way. Let me know if you ever need any repairs done. I'll give you a FAIR price.

/note to self - remember michael for future reference
