New Release Insanity!

Looking at all the new releases, what is a gamer to do? @_@ I don't know how to spend the money that's burning a hole in my pocket. Here are my choices:

Half-Life 2 (PC) $55
MOH: Pacific Assault (PC) $50
MGS 3: Snake Eater (PS2) $50
Call of Duty: Finest Hour (XBOX/GC/PS2) $50
Goldeneye: Rogue Agent (XBOX/GC?PS2) $50
Donkey Kong Country 2 (GBA) $25 on sale this week only, otherwise $30
Metroid Prime 2: Echoes (GC) on Wednesday $50
Halo 2 (XBOX) Collector's Edition already out $55 (already paid $5 for prepay)
LOTR: The Third Age already out $50

Now I don't have $380.00 to blow on these fine games, but I am torn as to which ones to pick up. I could spend up to $100, but with Black Friday and the Holidays approaching, I really should only spend $50. Any advice?

Personally, I'd get echoes. That game is great.

There ARE a lot of great new releases right now! :) I'm torn between Donkey Konga, Paper Mario 2, Metroid Prime 2, and Half Life 2.

I think it's gonna be Metroid Prime 2....played the demo and loved it.

i would say the new Metroid is your best bet...
the first prime was just amazing so im guessin this one has to be too...

I'd say first go for the titles that will be harder to find in the long run. An A-list game like GTA: SA or Metroid Prime 2 is going to be easy to find for quite some time. These games have long shelf lives so it's not too bad (of course, wanting to play them RIGHT NOW is another issue altogether) even if you wait six months to a year to get them. On the other hand, a title like Katamari Damacy is a sleeper hit that'll probably have a short shelf life, so don't wait too long to get it.

Only "MGS 3" and "Metroid Prime 2" for me.

I'm afraid the former is going to have to wait, though.

I have to make sure the receipient of my DP Secret Santa gifts will be all set.

Am I the only one not interested in any of those? The 2 i MIGHT'VE been interested in are MGS3 and DKC2, of those MGS3 eliminates the radar map, you know, probably the most important feature in the entire game, and DKC2 i already imported.

black friday is the day after thanks giving when "officially" the christmas shopping season beginnings so stores celebrate by having sales which are ridiculous and awesome

I've been playing Halo 2 nonstop since I got it...and I haven't even touched campaign.

I may have to hurt somebody if Pinball Hall of Fame doesn't come out soon...it's the only new game I even remotely care about...
