Which to get first? Halo2/HL2/GTA:SA/DS

Now that the heavy hitters are just about out (Half-Life 2/GTA: San Andreas/Halo 2/Nintendo DS) (I don't think MP2 really counts but I'll add it for the heck of it)

Which one would you get first? Or which one did you already get? With my crappy GFX card HL 2 is out. so That leaves GTA (and me already with a PS2 the cheapest option), Halo 2 (and subsequent Xbox purchase) or a Nintendo DS...

Hopefully this will be fanboi free LOL

My vote went for HL2. Doesn't matter what kind of card you have, you need this game.

So far, it just destroys Halo 2 (I loved this game as well) and GTA. Easily.

Granted, I haven't played MP2 (But I loved the first), nor the DS, so I dunno about them.

I made a retarded mistake I clicked HL2 instead of Halo 2. So just mentally switch my vote over. LOL

I know i am getting Halo 2 first because i was supposed to get it tonight but couldn't get a ride. So i am goping to get it tomorrow.
I don't plan on buying DS or HL2 and i probably won't get Prime 2 until it is 20 bucks or if i get it for a gift, and i won't buy San Andreas till i get my own PS2.

I'm not a big fan of FPS games, 'cept Halo and a few select others. So Half-Life's out.

Halo 2 was a BIG disappointment for me, so that's out.

I've yet to play San Andreas, and although I've heard it was good, I don't know yet, so that's out.

Metroid Prime 2, meh, I played the first one for a while, but quickly lost interest because I couldn't beat a boss. (I suck)

So, my choice would go to the DS. It's a system, and it looks awesome. Plus, since it's one of your choices, it comes with a demo of Metroid Prime: Hunters, so you can't go wrong with that.

I picked the DS (big suprise!)... though it does not necessarily belong here b/c it costs 3 times all the other choices.

If you have Xbox Live, go for Halo 2. It's fun as hell.

Otherwise I'd get the DS...it has the potential for more fun in the long run then any of the others.

Before even playing SA, I'd pick anything over that, simply because I wouldn't expect it to be any different than the others, just the communal amazement over the fact that you can get hookers.

I personally say Halo 2, but as mentioned above, I've get the three games in leiu of the DS. I can't vouch for HL2, but GTA: SA is good.

Like Uber says, get Xbox Live if you can. Great fun.

I actually rented Halo 2 for free a few days ago; now, granted, this is coming from someone who's never played Halo 1, but I've played the game for about 15 minutes since I rented it Saturday. It just seems so boring compared to GTA; how is Halo 2 better than any of the other FPS's out there? I went back to GTA right away, since I'm still finding cool shit to do and the story missions are the best the series has seen.

but they give you health! :P. i voted gta, although that might be biased. i dont have an xbox to buy halo 2, not really interested in hl2 or echoes, and DS is x3 price. so yeah LOL

Get the DS. It's the newest expierence you'll have. Even though ALL the other games are awesome.

i voted san andreas for a few reasons:

it is cheaper than a ds. you have to factor in:
price of system
price of games

you will be satisfied for months on end if you are into gta games.

i haven't played halo 2 so i have nothing to say about it

hl2: i do not have the technology on my comp to play it, and i know that i am not alone. it is expensive to get this up and running i bet, just like it was for doom 3.

metroid prime 2: um, well, i guess this would probably be as equally enjoying as gta:sa. if i could vote for 2, i would vote for this 1 and gta

GTA, because it has an endless amount of replay value. Haven't played Halo 2 or HL2, and from what I played of MP2, it wasn't that impressive. As for the DS, I'd wait until the library of games for it expands, and possibly for a price drop.

I suggest buying them like this

Half Life 2
GTA
DS

First two are QUALITY titles, no doubt. And I'm sure the DS will be sweet, but that has yet to be seen as there is not one residing in my house. Yet.
