It would practically obsolete this forum (not that that is a good thing, but it would be a lot more efficent). If everyone that used the buying/selling forum used nintari a lot more people would get what they want and get rid of what they dont.

USE NINTARI!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

jonjandran: I dont feel that this is spaming. It has a LOT to do with buying/selling and I dont profit from people joining nintari. By the way, isnt your post in this thread spamming? :hmm:

Super_Ghouls_'N'_Ghosts: I didnt mean to say anything bad about DP. I LOVE THIS SITE. I dont think it would hurt digital press to get rid of the buying/selling forum in leau of nintari.

Habeeb Hamusta: Nintari.net is free site that automatically matches potential buyers and sellers. All you do is enter your "for trade" stuff and your "wanted" stuff. When you have finished that, nintari tells you who a) wants your stuff and b) has stuff that you want. If, by chance, somebody has stuff that you want and wanst stuff that you have.....whola instant trade connection. Instead of having to post your haves and wants for a few browsers to see, you are automatically shown who has the stuff that you want and wants the stuff that you have. It's brilliant!

At least I have enough courtesy to not come into someones Buy & Sell forum and try to get people to use another one.

Oh and please read the rules.
8. Please limit your topics to BUYING and SELLING items only.
So this does NOT belong here. x_x

Oh heh. That sounds pretty cool but i would prefer this more. I can browse through different topics. I don't have to be specific in what i want. It's also cool to learn new things that are out there through this forum. :)

com'n guys, play nice. we're all friends here!

But jon does have a point. Follow rules.

maybe a topic like this would best be posted in the video game forum.

never tried nintari or whatever it is, thanks for the word. I will check it out, but i really like this B&S forum here and will probably just stick to this.

I use this and GameTZ, I really don't think I need another Game Trading/Selling/Buying Web Site.

But I tried it out anyway. It has a nice layout and such, but is very slow (for me) and takes a LONG time to put the games on your lists, since there is no multiple game adder thing.

I'll stick with DP and GameTZ, thank you.

Maybe if it had catagories for all of the games, instead of just a select few. Like original nintendo.

I'd wager a guess that people don't use Nintari because it appears to suck. No offense, it's laid out nicely enough, well it's laid out like GameTZ anyway. But just about every game I searched for has all wants and no haves. Or the games they do have in abundance, are owned by people who are too lazy to list it's condition.

It's just a quick glance, but I see better deals by browsing this forum. Or better results by browsing ebay. Of course that doesn't mean people shouldn't try out Nintari, it'll only get better through participation, but I can't imagine anyone leaving here to rely on that site.

Yeah, let's help Nintari become a new, mega-corp like eBay.

I think smaller buy/trade groups lead to less scams and ripoffs, so I'll avoid Nintari. I don't really understand your "assimilation march" either. Do you really care that much?

Well, I know personally why I prefer the buying & selling forum here over eBay, and that's because there's a pretty good chance I actually KNOW the other person. Which not only means I can trust them, but I can also probably get a better deal than I would elsewhere. And they're also apt to remember something else I was looking for and let me know where I can find it. And sometimes throw free schwag into the bargain :)

So, thanks for the link, but I prefer the more "personal touch" of our Buying & Selling forum.

What she said.

When I sell stuff on here, I feel like I am selling to a friend of mine, instead of some stranger on eBay. I sell stuff here instead of eBay or any other site because by doing so, I fell like I am keeping the stuff in the family, so to speak. But thanks for pointing it out to those of us who have never seen that site.

I actually like the layout of this Nintari site. Speed isn't an issue here either. It beats the fugly gametz site which requires you to subscribe to get anything done. After a few failed trades on gametz, I let my subscription expire and went running back to the security of Ebay.

I'm not planning on attempting any transactions on Nintari, but you never know.

Nintari is a good idea and is laid out well, but it's too cumbersome to add and describe all of your games. I thought about using it as an IGN listing kind of thing, but realized it wasn't worth my time. Plus, I kept getting offers from jerkwads who were like "I'll give you $5 for your copy of NBA Ballers and Super Mario Advance 4, you ship first".

If it's anything remotely like Game.TZ, I'll avoid it. Like Oobgarm experience, I got lame requests, couldn't contact most of the people to do a trade and when I did (and was trading something comparable for the item I wanted) I'd get the brush off saying what I'm trading "isn't enough".

Nope, rather go through DP and/or eBay.

Ok, OK! I am taking a lot of flack (no offence, Flack). I think that I am being misunderstud.

First: I do appologize for posting in the wrong forum. My mistake. :embarrassed: But, I figured that since I was talking about buying/selling that this topic should go in buying/selling. I now see the error of my ways.

Second: Thanks to everyone who had a great deal of contribution to the topic at hand. Your one-liner insults are VERY helpful. [/scarcasim]

Third: I love, I mean LOVE Digital Press and the Buying/Selling fourm. I have done a LOT of deals here and all of them (except one) went very well. I am in no way attempting to disband or demolish the b/s forum. Instead, I am trying to make buying/selling/trading more efficient. When people are matched up by there wants and haves, everything becomes easier.

Fourth: I completly understand what you all mean about the trust here at DP. I feel the same way. However, did all of us not have to grow to trust DP at first. I mean, when you first showed up (wether is was yesterday or 5 years ago), you certianly didnt automatically trust the DP members. You had to earn their trust and vice-versa. The same thing is true for any site...ebay, nintari, gameTZ, IGN, etc. If you are still not comfortable with that, DP members could put "DP" into their user name, or we could all list some fake game in our wants/haves. That way you always know that you are trading with a DP member. Anyway, I know that, based on the majority of the responses here, most of you are not going to use nintari, but i figured that it was worth a shot.

punkoffgirl was right. If I was going to sell to or buy from a stranger, I'd just use ebay. I use B&S Forum because 1) the prices are better, 2) I know a lot of the people and can trust them when they talk about quality, etc., 3) It's nice to hook up your fellow collectors and not pawnshop26 at Nintari.

Most importantly, though, is that people tend to take very poor care of their games - this is true even among some collectors! I don't want to buy a game with "light scratches" and get a coaster, which happens all the time on sites like gametz.
