i look at my walls of games and think...man, i dont have that much stuff....
thus, i am a video game anorexic. all i see, no matter how much stuff i have, cool or not, is that my collection is tiny and that i should have more.

Reverse anorexic, indeed. o_O You could drown in all those SNES and NES carts, man! Damn, think you got enough Game Boy color variations, haha? :P I like how you have similar merchandise displayed together like the Mario stuff bunch up and the Sonic stuff all together.
What's that Banjo thing that looks like a tiny surfboard? O_o

I am the same way, but I dont have that much stuff! holy hell! I would crap myself everyday I walked into my room if I had that collection! The part I like best is you use the space well, I dont see taht many crevaces with nothing in them. It must be nice to have the games on the shelves. And btw, where do you keep those white wire things that hold the complete genny games? Look like they were somewhere else then you just dragged them into your room to take pics? Great collection! Ill give it a 9/10 on the CCC scale.

if i had that many games, every time i walked in the room id run out scared of all the games that wanted me to play them, or id spend all day wondering what to play. thats a humongous collection.

Dude, if you honestly think that you don't have very many games, then you very well may have some kind of disease. That collection is downright HUGE @_@ , and any person that didn't collect video games would walk into your room and pass out because they have never seen that many games in a store, let alone someones room. LOL . Honestly man , that is a insane collection, based on the number of NES & SNES games you have alone, I give it a 10/10.
By the way , in your NES collection , what is that poster ? And what are those three games facing forward ?
And again , CRAZY COLLECTION !!!!!!!!!!!!!

But how many are doubles...?
I don't have nearly that much, but what I lack in quantity, I definately make up in quality! ;)
I have a few things that I doubt anyone else on here has... I am happy with what I have, but would always like more...

Anyways, do you have a near complete or complete NES or SNES collection? I have around 350-400 NES carts and they are nothing compared to that stack, so I'm curious now... LOL
I will have to look at your handle for your location because those price stickers look awfully familiar (like Record Exchange (now 'The Exchange') price tags). There was also a short lived store in my area called the "Cleveland Exchange" or "Parma Exchange" or some other silly name and everything was just a Record Exchange ripoff... Though they had Atari carts which was totally odd..

Now that is a room of doom - I'd probably kill myself trying to move in there. I'm definitely impressed. :eek 2:
I have a question about the shelf you're using for - I think it was either NES or SNES carts - can't remember and I'm too lazy to look. It was the one that kind of sloped down like a pyramid would. I'd love something like this - any idea where I might buy one?

Charitycasegreg: the white racks are old rental store racks i bought because i have no wall space. those usually just sit in the room; i had to move them about to allow for photos of them.
Whats the CCC scale?
imanerd0011: the 'poster' is actually two iron on mario logos. i just put them there to hide what is on the front of that display. the three games facing forward are the newest NES additions, which didnt fit on the shelf. they are touchdown fever, rollerblade racer and frankenstein.(check the part to pixels and polygons for more about the shelf)
the manimal: i said 'i look at my walls of games'! LOL i obviously have a mental disorder of some type...
oh, and i have about 710 or so unique NES games...
and the price stickers are from the same company, different franchisee...he has about 4 stores here in toledo. i find those people know their music up and down, but are basically clueless about games. especially classics!
Gemeni-Phoenix: there shouldnt be any doubles in the nes or snes(maybe one or two i missed), only a couple in the genesis and several in atari, but only because of label variations.
Pixelsnpolygons: the shelf is an old store display for the 'Sounds OF Nature" CD series. i got it at a garage sale for $25 from a guy that owns a bird supply store and had those when it was trendy. works perfect for my needs, as NES games are nearly cd size. no idea where youd get one now...maybe kmart or similar stores would be getting rid of theirs? ive seen them there in the past, but its been a while... the center is it still has the board where you press an area and it plays a demo of the song. i thoguht about making a video game sounds CD to put in there, but havent as of yet.
Oobgarm: the ones that have atari, intv and upper portions of snes and nes are, the rest are pressed board stuff you buy at the store. the room has evolved so much i ended up with a bunch of mismatched shelving, so i incorporated it into the custom stuff just so itd be used. saved some money too. im extremely happy its organized, ivee spent several weeks getting it that way...ive never had a 'finished' game room before. there has always been piles of junk all over. the part that sucks most is that the systems shown are only the boxed ones. i have a room full of loose systems and controllers... to sort through another day far from now...

Lol, all of us collectors are vg anorexics or juniies or whatever...our fix is never enough. We are addicts just the same. Eh, could be crack, so I guess that's allright.
That's a pretty sweet collection, BTW. Not too shabby at all...and very neat, something I must do once I get my own place.
Your boxed to loose ration is astounding...pretty much everything you have there seems boxed (well, except the NES and SNES [I think] stuff)! Nice job, dude.

ooohh... closest I've been to any game stores in Toledo is the (Record) Exchange in Sandusky. Just recently went to the place for the first time. It's not really that time consuming of a drive (about 20-30 mins). I've had crazy deals at these stores, like top loader NES's for $15 (before the 'retro' fad kicked in for the masses), and Chrono Trigger, Mega Man X3, etc for $2.50. Hell, I got a minty copy of Suikoden II for $5 a month or so ago.

Wow @_@ Great Collection!!
You also got a lot of great deals on games. I keep track of most of my pruchases in Excel, with one Tab for each system. I have never added the cost up though, because I fear that if I knew how much I had spent I would be forced to stop collecting. Why would any sane person spend that much on old juck video games? LOL
I guess we are all insane. Maybe we should start a chapter of JGA (Junk Gamers Anonymous).
You have taken the first step, you admited you have a problem. Although, I not sure admiting you don't have enough games is a step in the right direction. x_x
