(FYI- Black Friday = day after Thanksgiving)

EB will be having a buy 2 get 1 free across all pre-played games (no limits on systems) for this day :) Good time to pick a few up :)

Something else a lot of people don't seem to be aware of is the 50% off sale on used PC games under $15 through the end of the month. I need to grab a few of those.

!!!

I did not know about this...I shall go back and get Return To Castle Wolfenstein forthwith. Thank you!!

Is this an online only deal or is it good in stores? I have an EB literally two minutes away that shouldn't get too crowded....I could see myself taking advantage of this deal.

Definitely good in the stores. Just got word that we should make sure our B2G1Free banner is still in good condition because we'll need it next Friday.

Unless you mean 50% off used PC games, which is also in the stores :)

Can you ALSO use the Stash for Cash coupons? Those don't expire until Nov. 27 - the day AFTER Black Friday.

30% plus a Buy One Get One would be a GREAT deal, in my opinion.

I'm not familiar with "Stash for Cash" coupons :) Might not be in our region. But usually Buy X Get X deals can't be combined with any other offers. We don't even get our employee discount =(

However the PC deal can be combined with EDGE cards :) 60% off! 75% off for us employees hehe. That's some freaking cheap PC games.

It is worth pointing out that if you buy more than 6 games at once for the Buy 2 Get 1 Free deal, the computers still do calculate the free games to give you the most value. So you don't need to do them on separate transactions. If you buy these games:

$8 game
$9 game
$9 game
$25 game
$25 game
$30 game

It'll give you the $8 game and the $25 game free, not the $8 and $9 games.

I'm not familiar with "Stash for Cash" coupons :) Might not be in our region. Actually it's called Cash for Stash and is a national game/discount program. Here:

http://www.cashforstash.com/play/

Your score determines the coupon you receive at the end. Higher scores mean a higher coupon amount. Highest discount available is 30% (with Edge card - 20% without it). And, since you're encouraged to download it, you can print it up and use it at any EB as often as you wish.

Need one? Here ya go.

Looking at the "fine print" of that coupon where it says it can't be combined with any other offer would lead me to believe that it probably can't be used with the "buy 2, get 1 free" deal.

What the hell.............

Ok that is pretty whacked.

Savings are savings tho hehe

Thanks, Sniderman. I printed that sucker off last night, went to Office Max to make copies, and then went to my local EB Games stores and bought XIII for PS2 for $4.11 tax included. Today, I think I'll buy either Dino Stalker for PS2 or Mission Impossible for Xbox.

Nice. :-P

I like that. That can be a huge pain in the ass.

Also like the coupon Daria. Very profesionally done. Anyone willing to see if it works? I don't live near an EB. :/

Cash for Stash works on Game Boy games?! Dang, think I already bought the ones I wanted most :p

Pretty sure the coupon code is unique. Once it's been scanned it won't work again (different every time)

I might be wrong about that tho :) Sometimes coupons are, sometimes they aren't, it's a little tricky to figure out.

If someone else has a image of a coupon we could find out.

I've played the game numerous times, trying to get a different UPC to pop up. NOpe, it's the same each time. I've used this coupon a few times locally infact. And an earlier thread (where I learned of this coupon) confirmed it's the same for everyone.

Kind of short-sighted of EB, but appreciated never the less. It's still good until Nov. 27 gang!

EDIT: Earlier Cash for Stash coupon thread where we hammered out that the code is always the same for the 30% discount.

The other big deal for EB is....

2 Greatest Hits/Platinum/Players Choice games for $25 (normally $20 apiece)

That's pretty good :)

Slightly lesser, but still decent-

Buy 1 Madcatz accessory, get one 50% off. Good time to grab some wireless controllers!

What fine print?

Strange.....the coupon you posted is different than the one Sniderman posted a few posts above yours. If you look at his, it specifically lists an exclusion about combining the coupon with other deals.

Ah, you bastards are trying to trick me, I see.... LOL

Wonder if this would work on EB employees, too. Not a bad idea there Daria.

I'm still waiting for Gamestop/EB to have their "turn in 2 current gen games and get $20 extra credit" deals. I have about 8 games to trade in at the house and I found some PS2 three packs for $10 at Wal-Mart that just screams ABUSE! he hee

The computer actually won't let you do it if it's not supposed to be combined...

That's a little high... typical deals for extra $ in trades at EB

-Trade in 3/4/5 games (ANY, no exclusions) get $10/$15/$20 EXTRA
-Get $10 for a trade (exclusions apply) towards a certain game, either preorder or not

The $10 one is almost always going on SOME game. More often it's preorders, but there's nothing stopping you from taking the money off a preorder and putting it to something else. (Just be nice about it when you ask)

3/4/5 deal is only 2 or 3 months out of the year. Last one was in September, I think.

Are those 3 day specials in store only?

Probably store only... retail stores and the website run completely separate. Different deals, different prices, different trade in values and exclusions. Sometimes they offer one deal at both, but not always. And since Black Friday is such a get-out-to-the-retail-stores kinda day, I'd have to bet on retail stores only.

I've tried Sniderman's coupon 3 times at 2 different local EBs. Each time they type the coupon code in and swipe my Edge card, and it works. Not once have they tried to scan it, and I'm a regular customer so they haven't given me stress about it yet. Last night, I bought Furious Karting for Xbox and Dragonball Z: Legacy of Goku for $4.11 each. I'll probably go back tonight for Dino Stalker on PS2.
