So which console has the definite version of this great game? Is the Saturn bundle arcade-perfect or is there a better one out? I have the SMS and Famicom versions (and PC-E SCI) but they don't quite lift my spirit.

The saturn version is by far the best port, but it is nowhere near arcade perfect. FM Towns version is probably the second best unless there is an amazing Amiga port out there.

Avoid the TG-16 version, btw.

I've been thinking about getting the Saturn import, but I dunno what SCI is. I know that it comes with it, but does it have anything to do with the series?
I also have Chase HQ 2 on the Genesis and Super Chase HQ on the SNES.

S.C.I. is Special Criminal Investigation, the sequel to Chase H.Q. The main change in gameplay is the addition of gunplay and some powerup weapons. The original is better. The PCE version of this one is actually decent unlike the original.
The Saturn version is the one to get in this instance. It is pretty close to perfect.
I must also note that, though different, the SNES game is surprisingly good. It has a nice feel to it. Chase H.Q. 2 on Genesis is rather poor.
RayTracers for PSX is a spiritual sequel of sorts. Think Ridge Racer plus Chase H.Q. Very cool. I recommend it highly.
