R6 = Rarity of 6.
Check the Rarity Guide , search for a game.

R stands for rarity. Basically, every game, system and accessory is placed on a 1-10 rarity scale. Rarity 1 (or R1), can be found everywhere. However, a Rarity 10 (or R10), is usually reserved for one-of-a-kind copies, prototypes, et cetera.

R6 is in the uncommon range. You can find those in the wild but they are few and far between -- a lucky find. Also, please note that that value includes a complete game -- with box and manual in good shape. The cart by itself is only worth about half that.
The reason it's uncommon is cause it was a late NES release.

Doesn't that defeat the purpose of how I found out it's an R6?
Anyways, thanks everyone

.
I always thought that the DP rarity guide based its prices for NES (and most other) games on loose copies and that complete copies were worth more.

You know, you may be right. Most other sections in the DP 7 guide say at the start of the listings if the prices are based on complete or loose games -- and msot of them are based on complete. There's no mention of this in the NES section -- just checked my guide. Maybe someone else can weigh in?

No, the [online] guide designates it as an L for $14.

Did'nt look at the online guide. That takes care of that, then. ;)
Seems like a lot for a loose game, but that's why I'm not a collector. :P

Just be glad you don't collect sealed games, heh. (For the NES, I mean.)

Good job getting an R6. I have all the R7's for the nes , and all the licensed R6's. I still need around 10 unlicensed R6's though , because there are quite alot of them. If you are looking to buy alot of rare games for NES, I would go get Little Samson, it's an R6 and is also a really fun game.

I just got Jungle Book and Puzznic (both R6's) in mail through ebgames.com and the total cost was like $8. You can get R5-R6 games damn cheap that way using CLSCBOGO! Just don't forget to get up early when they update. Yeah I've got 305 NES games and only 1 R7 (Flintstones: Suprise at Dino Peak) :(

I would say that $14 is a somewhat conservative estimate.......I have never, ever seen this game in the wild; the only copy I've ever seen is the one I won off of eBay a while ago for about $12 or $13. However, I've seen even loose cartridges go in the $25-30 range. I know eBay isn't the best price indicator, but it should give you somewhat of an idea as to what a loose cart is going for these days.
