Very nice Ice. A couple hundred for 2 machines is awesome. Goes to prove that you can still find some deals on ebay. I never really like Altered Beast as a cab, but damn the artwork on that cab is amazing.

I remember that game Gondomania. It was great! Too bad it's unplayable in Mame because of the joysticks :/

They're smaller cabs, so not bad at all. Since the guy lived on the next block over, I brought em over in 2 small trips in the back of a truck. Regardless, it was a steal! Now I'm addicted.. I need more boards to put in these :)

I loved Gondomania in the arcades! Only saw it once or twice though :(
If I remember correctly it's like playing Ikari Warriors on a speeder bike from Return of the Jedi.
Ok Ic I'm going to have to come up and play it sometime. Just go to get the wife to watch the kids. :)

I surprisingly got them to fit neatly in my game room this morning! The wife wasn't particularly happy about that, but man does it look more like a game room now! I can't believe they didn't go for more either - $232 for both was a steal. Now if you excuse me, I need to go rescue my daughter...

If you want, I'll pull the board out of my spare Shinobi cab and we can test that theory about the boards being interchangable.

Why, are they twisting joysticks like in Guerilla war and other SNK games? I just use shoulder buttons for that...
If not, whar's the deal w/ the joyasticks?

Yeah, the joysticks rotate your character I believe. They're pretty much necessary, just like Time Soldiers.
On a related note, let us know what you think of Gondomania...I have the PCB and a set of rotatable sticks but I've never played it... :)

Yup, that's exactly what they are. I have an extra Gondomania PCB that I swap in and out of my Time Soldiers cabinet from time to time.

Flack will probably disagree with me on this, but I find it more fun than Altered Beast. It's basically a Ikari Warriors with Jedi Speeders (as Grimbal put it), and you kill people to collect their coins. When you get enough coins you can buy random weapons and upgrades that float by. The neat thing is that the weapons only last for x amount of shots so you don't upgrade forever. I haven't won it yet (I only give myself 10 credits to try it on) but I've made it to level 7. The joystick twisting isn't really neccessary (I don't use it much) but it helps in some situations.

After dropping by and playing it, I gotta say...yeah, that's a pretty accurate assessment. That's quite a fun little game - I'd never seen that one before!
