Saw this the other day online...
A Neo Fami from Japan that can play both NES and Famicon games. $50 new.
They any good? Have been debating getting an NES, but the price on those is usually like $30-35 used, so.... dunno :)

I don't know about that. I'm pretty sure you still need a convertor for it.

there are a TON of them on Ebay for that price. I was wondering how they work to, it would be cool playing some foreign NES games.

They are not as good as the real thing. If you go to the manufacturer's webpage and translate it, it will warn that "compatibility is not guaranteed" and give a list of games that work and don't work. Mind you this is all in Japanese so you will have to intuit from babelfish, but the gist of it is don't expect perfection, unlike on real hardware. I would like one to test my NES games on, but I'm not paying $50+ shipping for one.
