Official Crystal Castles Remake?

A while ago I stumbled across screenshots of an official remake of Crystal Castles (akin to the Hasbro remakes of Pac Man, Dig Dug, Q*Bert, etc). However, evidence for the existence of this product appears to be limited.

Was it never released, or am I just going nuts?

That looks interesting, but no, this definitely starred Bently Bear (rendered in crude polygons much like the characters in Hasbro's other remakes).

Anything about the team developing it? I have a book written by the guy who did the 3D remake of Centipedes...that was a Hasbro product, right?

I thought I seen a post on here about that once....I don't think it ever came out though, but who know's , maybe it just soared under the radar

I did a little searching on this and couldn't dig anything up. Maybe it just got swept under the rug.

Until then, be sure to pick up Atari Anthology -- it's got both the 2600 and the arcade version of the game on it. It takes a little getting used to using the analog stick diagonally, but it's not that bad.

Well, the Crystal Castles in the original Atari collection for the pc had a real nice "graphics enhancement" option where it updated the graphics quite a bit (same game.. different skin). Maybe you saw a screenshot of that? :?

As far as I know, the graphics skin was only available on the pc version. I can probably take a screenshot later....

I wish I knew. Then I could quit doubting my memory.
