Anyone played with one of these before? I have two blinky NES units and was wondering if this might be a decent replacement?

If you're going to drop change on a Famicom and/or a clone, I'd personally suggest saving up the extra 40 bucks or so and getting an AV Famicom. That way you at least know for sure that it's well made (plus the things were in production up until 2003, so finding a new or lightly used system shouldn't be too hard).

I posted a similar thread, and seen two others recently, but unfortunately no one seems to have tried one yet. If I can find someone who has one I will let you know.

I think I posted on this in the import board, but Neo Fami's are pretty decent, they have a fairly decent reputation and sell for about 3500 yen in major electronics retailers in Japan... so I would say picking one up is probably not a bad idea at all.

I noticed there is no red AND white audio cable. It only has a video lead and one white plug for audio. Does this mean it is not stereo but mono?

Well the U.S. Nes is mono only, but I don't know about Famicoms ?

these are made by a distributor called YoBo... we buy a lot of crap from them... we'll be selling them soon on our site
