Hi all!
I've loved the game Tempest since I was a Kid. I have the original arcade game, and Tempest 2000 for the Jag. I recently got a nice new copy of Tempest 3000 for the Nuon DVD player/game system. I really want to play it but I have never had any luck getting the player itself... :(
I've tried the Ebay route with no luck, the players there are way too much for me to justify to the wife to get to basically play one game. I don't understand that attitude, but what are you going to do. There is an emulator for the Nuon system, and the game looks real pretty in it. The only drawback is it runs at about 1-3 frames per second. Great for an old Infocom Zork Text adventure, a tad slow for a frantic game like Tempest however.. :D
So, does anyone here maybe have a system they no longer use and would be willing to part with, or can perhaps steer me in the right direction? If so I would appreciate any help, so I can have one of each generation of Tempest in my home!
