I thik he means this one (http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=62053&item=8147508584&rd=1)

Hey, it can't be that unreasonable, it took more than one person for the bid to get that high.

Isn't "andrychiewicz123" the same guy who bid on that last Air Raid but returned it to the originator because it didn't work on his TV!??

Sounds like a collector wannabe with more $$$ than brains. LOL

Yeah, he's been bidding silly money on quite a few high-ticket items recently.

gosh..this is utterly ridiculous. I mean this game isn't even that RARE. There are plenty to be found on ebay. Granted it's sealed, but even then, you can probably find this game at a flea or thrift somewhere in the U.S. without too much work.

two user bid war here...nationalgamedepot and countrymusicsucks. Add c_chicco for bidding multiple increments and still not able to beat the proxy

Are you kidding me, I would love to find the flea market, or thrift where I can find final fantasy III sealed. Now you may find some games sealed on occassion, but odds of finding uber rare ones (that won't be as high priced as ebay) will be slim to none imho.

I have been searching for years at Flea Markets and Pawn Shops, Yard Sales, Etc. And the rarest sealed game I've found is a Dragon Warrior VII for the Playstation. Oh and a BaseBall Stars for the Virtual Boy. LOL

I meant finding it complete, not necessarily sealed at a Flea Market. The fact still remains that this game is NOT RARE!, Rarity is at 2. A sealed one is perhaps higher on the rarity scale, but not by that much, and is definitely not worth the ending bid when comparing the price delta between complete and sealed. I have seen multiple sealed FFIII games over the years on ebay. I'm sure there are plenty of sealed FFIII games out there.

Flea markets are great for HIGH-DEMAND games that are a little difficult to come by. You can find some both High-demand games, and high-demand games that are scarce in production. You can also find utter garbage. It just depends. On what?...Alot of factors, but I digress.

Fact still remains that the ending price is insane, collector or no. Person is basically throwing money away. If he has money to waste, it may seem to him he is getting a good deal. And for those people, I hope they keep on wasting their money. If it's someone who has an average income living from check to check or just spends all his/her money on games, I pitty them.

Well I know I could possibly find a complete FFIII or any other rare game, but when you get a combo of final fantasy III (rated best of the series by alot of people) and sealed, well you will have morons out of the woodwork, especially during the holiday season. I know I sold my copy of suikoden II (cd only) I picked up at gamestop for 35 for 95$ on BIN. Granted that isn't alot, but when completes usually get that price, you see what the holiday season does to people. In fact the first thing the buyer said was I am getting it for a friend for Christmas.

Now at $800... that's way too much. Don't recall seeing a sealed ff3 above $500 before, and usually considerably less.

...raritygames' auctions always do seem to have lots of small increment bids by the same couple of bidders though... :?

Looks like the usual "more cash than brains" situation to me...

Even considering that FF6 is generally regarded as one of the best RPGs around, $800 for it is way too much - at least 8 times more than I would ever pay. Usually sealed games collectors don't end up opening and playing their games anyway, so the high bidder probably payed that much to end up having a piece of plastic sitting on his shelf, and showing it off to 2-3 friends that won't laugh when he mentions the price he payed for it...?

Sometimes I don't understand game collectors...
