Picture of Flintstones 1 and Robocop 2, but it says Flintstones 2 and 1. Worth the risk?

True but read this:

"Get a rare Flint 2 and rare sealed Flint 1!"

Wow, that is definaltey misleading, but what the seller is saying is if you buy a copy of Flintstones 2 (from somewhere else) and you win his auction for a sealed Flinstones 1 , that you will have a nice set. The seller just said it the wrong way, so it looked like the Flintstones 2 was also included in the auction. Kinda shady if you ask me . :hmm:

You guys crack me up. I'm going to edit the auction right now. You honestly think I'm going to waste my time trying to scam someone?

I'm sorry if it wasn't worded perfectly, but give me a break. You guys are pretty quick to point fingers.

EDIT: auction revised to make the DP inquisition happy :p

If I seem pissed off... well I am ;) I'm neither stupid enough to sell a flint 2 for $65 nor deceptive enough to try. I don't know which point of view is more insulting!

i was only kidding as well.

sorry if it came across wrong. I was hoping those "emoticons" would have helped explain it better. I know you know your stuff :)

Why not mention the Panesian games too?

If they bought the 3 Panesian games (elsewhere) and Flinstones 2 (elsewhere) man now that would really make a nice set.

Stadium Events (elsewhere) would make for another must have "set"

And an NWC cart....

and...

Better grow some tougher skin as we can't help but bust your balls over this one. Its all meant in good fun so relax. I laughed when I saw your auction and thought it was a good idea.

As illustrated in my above post its more of a keyword spamming issue than a deceptive bait and switch issue. However given that people bid on empty system boxes and "pictures" of laptops you really have to be careful. Most bidders do not read the descriptions with more than quick glace over the description. A quick glance by someone who has never seen a Flinstones 1 or 2 before might get a quick BIN thinking he got the deal of a lifetime. Intentional or not its certainly possible.

Thanks guys. Sorry if I was irritated but it was so far from intentional that it's not even funny. The whole flintstones 1/2 set thing was a chance remark. If you look at my auctions it's pretty clear they are from a template; I think I spent about 30 seconds listing each one. I guess my wording could have been misconstrued so I have changed it but it didn't even enter my mind that someone thought I would be selling a sealed flint2 for $65. (Leaving aside the issue of where the hell I would find one; they don't exactly grow on trees and the only one I know of is locked up in a collection).

That was an awsome post.

I don't think that bronty is trying to scam anyone either, but why even mention flintstones 2?

Alright, I'm just going to delete any reference whatsoever to flint 2 in the auction. I didn't think it was a big deal but obviously it is to some of you :P

Edit: done.

And just for the record if I ever do come across one you will not see it on ebay ;)

sealed NES game opened by US customs

AUGH! That's terrible!
That's just rediculous.
I hate Canada customs more and more each day

Dude that is just... sick. While they're at it why don't they bash the carts against the wall to make sure they aren't bombs and then bend the manual in half to make sure your not smuggling razor blades in it.

Sounds like an good excuse for someone to be able to sell complete games as new.

I don't think so.. when packages are opened at canadian customs, they are conspicuously marked as such with special yellow tape and the whole nine yards.

Now, I know US customs doesn't use the tape, but I believe they mark the packages somehow (I can't remember exactly how, will ask buyers). In any case, I don't think it's fakable.
