Between this and Resident Evil 4, the gamecube can really put out some very impressive graphics/games.

It looks pretty good, but it just doesn't have that Zelda feel yet. It just looks too.... REAL!

So has anyone yet established whether this is actually going to be an all new Zelda game - Or is it going to be remake of OOT? I remember seeing similar screenshots in 1997 of OOT, but then the game was actually less stunning than we believed it would be...

Interesting artwork. I guess it's safe to say that Miyamoto isn't doing the art for Zelda anymore (not that I thought he did the Wind Waker art either).

Looks purty. :D
I just wish WindWaker looked like this and not some game for little children. Granted I'm not saying the game sucked or anything, but the visuals should have been more suited towards something like this...

Hey, I liked The Wind Waker! And I think it was cool that they decided to take the unexpected direction with it, art-wise. The fact that the next Zelda will be more serious-looking, more like OoT just shows one thing: never say never.
Anyway, the new Zelda is being directed by the same man who did Wind Waker...

Yeah, I have seen this happen with alot of people. Didn't like WindWaker until they tried it, then after playing loved it. They don't want to go back to any other ZELDA game without cel shading graphics.

I didn't like WindWaker at all. Not because of the graphics, it just was very boring. So was MM. These graphics are really nice I just hope the game is good. I liked Ocarina of Time a lot so I'm going to be optimistic about this one.

I was really impressed with the New Zelda pics. I even got a GC sized DEMO disc for my computer with a trailer of Zelda (i think is was an EGM issue).... come to find out they ditched the idea and oped for a cel-shaped Zelda, WindWaker. I was very unhappy watching that GC demo and finding out it would be redone and called Windwaker, the disc was about the time of the Launch of the GC. I was very unhappy with the redirection and to me it was a spit in the face, "Hey we have this really awesome real-life looking Zelda but you know what we are not going to do it. We're shotting for a re-direction and cel-shading." :bad-words: After the blunders of that video demo and Wind Waker, i doubt that i will play another Zelda after MM. But i hope this one turns out and stays the same ....
P.S. i will try to dig up that cd and post it somewere on a server "TRY"

The Link vs. Ganondorf video Nintendo showed at their Spaceworld event in 2000?? That's been available on the internet since it was shown, Cool video.

This just in:
"The new Zelda game shall be portrayed by stick figures. Utilizing the Gamecube's technology, gamers will now be able to traverse the world of Hyrule like never before - as if it were drawn by a 3-year old.
Link will be easily distinguishable from the other characters, as he will be drawn using a green crayon. Also, he will utilize the awesome powers of a "Mystic Banjo™" to aid him in his quest to recover the triforce.
Shigeru Miyamoto was unable to be reached for comment, but it's been reported that he's currently seeking refuge in a bunker near Mt. Fuji. His last confirmed sighting was in a dark corridor in Nintendo of Japan, rubbing his hands together and cackling incessantly."

Is it possible to hate Zelda?? (unless you just plain don't like the style of GamePlay...)
Is it possible to not recognize Miyamoto's / Nintendo's revolutionary Ideas that have made videogames what they are today?
Is it possible to not recognize Nintendo's significant roll in the Videogame industry??
It's one thing to not like Wind Waker for its cartoony graphics, its annother to completely dismiss it as a good game because of them... as with any game...
Wind Wakers graphics may be a turn off, and they most deffinately were a new idea. It is still the best example of a Cell-Shaded game. And it was a damn fine game to those who actually played it, many of whom ended up loveing the graphics. Miyamoto (Nintendo) wasn't crazy for the big change in grapics, they just made the decision to fast, before the public's take on the matter... but who cares, its their game.
(From a Nintendo fanboy, who also happens to love Halo 2 and SEGA Saturn)
This is great news. I've been waiting for another game with the Ocarina graphic style. I LOVE cel-shaded games and thought that WindWaker was a great looking game......but I've yet to finish it. It didn't hook me. I'll be starting it afresh this winter.
Like someone else said....it's ZELDA!!!

I know many people that hate Zelda. In mu opinion most of the Zelda games were redundant and got so boring. I've only liked two so far. Maybe this one will capture me like the others. :)
