Sony's PS2, in my opinion, did not have enough decent launch software to make an example of its capabilities. The only launch game that I throughly enjoyed was SSX, although I'm sure that many sports fans would argue that EA's latest installment in the Madden series was noteworthy as well.
The 32X also did poorly when it came to launch titles, but that isn't saying much considering the limited quantity of software that that hardware extension ever saw. Doom was great considering how expensive your other alternatives to owning it were, but other than that, I can't remember any other great launch games.
