Hey Gang!
It's time once again for a new Digital Press Mystery Sound Contest! Visit The Mystery Sound Contest Page (http://www.digitpress.com/mystery), listen to the sound sample, and send us an e-mail identifying what game (arcade, concole, or handheld) the sound comes from. If yours is the one drawn at random from all of the correct entries, you'll win this month's prize.
And I promise, it's a bit easier this month. :D

What program are you using (Windows Media, Winamp, etc.)?

Windows Media Player. Never had a problem with midi's with it before.

Using Quicktime, no problems here.

Indeed, it plays just fine with Quicktime.
And I have no fucking clue what this could be, so I'll refrain from sending an answer. However, I do like that tune!

dan I got that like 10 seconds in. Not sure EXACTLY what game it is. Could have went and tried the game to see if it is the right one...oh well

After pulling my hair out for the past 15 hrs or so...I finally remember the title. I even double checked to make sure. :)
I knew what this was within seconds. Too bad the prize isn't what the prize was last month. I'm not even going to send an entry because I have no desire for this month's prize. :|

I had no problem hearing it (though I have no clue what it is). Have the people who are having problems listening to it tried downloading it first and then opening it with your players?

I couldn't open it with either WMP or QT until I renamed it .wav
Tried that with no luck either. :(

The opening 10 seconds or so really threw me for a loop. After that, I was like, "hey, isn't that ... ?" Not only did a little research validate my guess, but I also heard the beginning part and said, "huh, I guess it DOES sound like that!"
