Well, I just got back from 5 1/2 hours of hell. Just kidding. Actually, it wasn't that bad this year. I got up at 4:30 am to head over to Meijer (sort of like Wal Mart with a grovery too) to pick up a $17 Apex DVD player. The sale was suppose to start at 5 am. I walked in at 5 am (it's a 24 hour store) and they were all sold out already and everyone was already lined up at the registers. The rest of the day was rather productive.

Things were crazy this year. I went to Best Buy and Target first, Best Buy had a line circling the store, so I skipped the one item I wanted there, just because I didn't want to wait all day. Target had some decent deals. I picked up...
GBA
Zelda NES Classics
GCN
Viewtiful Joe (Non-PC version!)
DVD
Simpson's Season 4
Shrek 2
That's it for me as far as electronics goes. I wanted to maybe grab the Pearl White GBA SP at Circuit City, but it was gone by the time I got there. Most of what I ended up with was clothes. I went NUTS on that front. Eddie Bauer had some GREAT deals going.

The only thing I got today was a complete orge battle 64 and an n64 box someone was throwing away. X_x I noticed the N64 box when I was driving with my mother down to my sister house and I told her to pull over. After looking threw all the shit and broken boom boxes I was able to find the game.

Then, over to Target for Dr. Mario and Link II for $13.99. Then, I slept for a very long time, got up, and got a Riddick from EB. Ugh, too much shopping.

I got Star Wars: KOTOR PC for my dad for $19.99 at Best Buy, and used 3 McDonald's things to get $3.00 back.

Metroid prime 2, Mario Tennis, Metal Gear Solid 3, Donkey Konga, GBA classics Castlevania, Taiko Drum Master, Paper Mario, Gradius V.
Alls for 20% off, w/ no tax. Not too bad for current "hot" games.

Lol, progressive Scan DVD player $17.99 after rebate. I worked at Best Buy, and the last few years they have had the same DVD player promo: the Norcent or the Cyberhome. Want to know why they are $17.99? They have close to a 60% defect rate.
The concept of these things has always boggled me. Who would you give an $18.00 DVD player to for Christmas? If someone gave it to me, I woudl hit them in the heaqd with it. Especially when for about $50-$60.00 you can buy a Toshiba, Philips, or even a Sony on a good day. How is $18.00 a better deal when you have to replace it in 6 months?
Personally, if someone just only wanted to spend about $20.00 on a present, I would rather have a great DVD movie, and buy my own dvd player.
But, I rant....

Haha, a bit sensitive about that purchase eh? Sorry, didn't mean to offend you, was just ranting in general. Yours may have just been an extra DVD for the basement or something, but most of them sold are for gifts (In fact, a lot of the ones returned usually have bits of wrapping paper taped to them). Again, just ranting, no offense intended. But, fyi....you will probably not use it much, then in about 7 months you will decide to play a DVD on it. You will insert the movie, and the unit will make some noise for a while and then say "no disc". Or, it may just not open. The Norcent is BY FAR worse than the Cyberhome for this--if you bought one, take it back.

Metal Arms A Glitch in the System at C. City(a $9.99 price match from a B. Buy ad). But the cashier wouldn't give the 10% difference. The game had a C. City sticker price of $49.99. It rang up for $19.99. I didn't feel like fighting the cashier to save an extra $1.05.
