I won an Aladdin enhancer off raritygamesinc on ebay
Then a couple of days later I won a couple of Aladdin games

Now im bidding on a couple more games which I missed, trying to get a full set of Aladdin stuff before I pay.

They sent me an email today simply saying

"all the games you won will be relisted tommorow since you refuse to pay. thank you"

I've emailed them, explaining that I am bidding on more of their items,

Does anyone have any experience with this seller? are they usually such jerks??

Did you let the seller know that you would be bidding on more items and want to combine all the items?

Agreed. You needed to contact the seller and let him know that you were bidding on other items of his and ask him if he minds if you pay for them all at once. Oterwise for all he knows you were just another non paying bidder. Also, don't assume that everyone will ofer combined shipping because many don't.

hes a good seller. An there is a guy who sells the enhancer brand new sealed, with 6 brand new sealed games. Just search for deck enhancer. I think he is the one who sells the sets. Its $75 plus shipping.

Well no, hes always had them 95 BIN. But he starts them at 75 which is what they usually end up as.

not that ive seen. the bin's were in fact $75. just recently i searched for them, and saw that he rose the bin to $95, and has a $75 opening bid. I imagine that once he runs out these could be hard to find otherwise

Nesmaster is right. I bought mine from him for $75 buy it now. I also agree that once this guy sells all of his supply, that these will skyrocket in price.

Im gonna buy one this winter. But if he's smart he will sell "the last of them" for like at least $100. Then in a few months he may sell the actual last supply very slowly so no one suspects that he still has a bunch. I would do that for a few years just selling the enhancer by itself and the games by them selves too.

I had a chance to buy these in bulk. After I was told just how many of these there were I passed on them. I just couldn't see there being that many collectors out there willing to buy them. I don't know how many this particular seller has but trust me these won't be sold out anytime soon. These will be around as new sealed sets for along time.

Then the question would be why are these listed as an R7 if they're so damn easy to find?

Well... before this guy bought all of his (maybe 1.5 years ago), Aladdin Deck Enhancers were RARE !!! I remember them selling for hundreds on ebay, and then this guy must have found a freaking warehouse full of them, because the price dropped like crazy. I think that the Digitpress guide hasn't been updated that much since the recent price drop.

Well it must have been an awful lot of them because I remember a few months back he case after unopened case in the backdrop of his pictures - which is why I never bothered buying a set.

To answer this question as well as Emily's, they are an R7 because we actually have a good idea on the production run of these. (~10,000 sets). That puts it pretty high up the scale, but the availability ($100 will secure a set in ANY situation where they are for sale, and there are quite a few places to grab them) brings the rarity down. Quadrun is numbered at 10,000 pieces, but is a 9 , as an example. The difference is how hard it is to get.

So does that mean rarity #s are based on perceived production #s or on perceived survivorship #s? I think survivorship #s makes way more sense, but your post would seem to imply that it's based on production #s?

10,000 Quadrun might have been produced but how many are known to exisit new and sealed today?

If a couple thousand Quadruns were found the price on this game would drop pretty quick. Thats the case with these Aladdin games.

I forget exactly how many of these I had a chance to buy but if you search the old threads you might find it there. However, If there were 10,000 Aladdin sets produced I can tell you that the majority of those which were sold were sold directly to collectors after the system was pronounced "dead".
Which means the majority of these are still new and sealed.

that's my point exactly, survivorship vs. print runs. So.. which does dp use?

I agree that these should drop in rarity (maybe an R5), but if these aren't rare because they were sold to collectors, why isn't Cheetahmen 2 the same? I heard that around 1,000 copies of Cheetahmen 2 were sold to collectors, but now adays the cart is RARE !!! I don't know hardly anyone with a copy, and a loose copy will go for at least $175+.
