Game Boy sales are terrible right now. I have an extra of MEGA MAN V with a minty label...and I noticed they are going for really low prices... I paid $8 for thsi at a used shop and considered myself lucky. I figured I'd sell it for $50 like I did a few years back. I understand the re-release, but how cheap it is going now? I'm sure there's GB collectors who would pay the $20 MINIMUM I'd want for this cart...

yeah, I sold a spare deck with mario 1-3 and dr.mario for $50 last week. At my parents right now for thanksgiving, I'm going to search out every spare deck I've got lurking around here.

Damn! I bet the person who bought that was a newbie for collecting for the NES. I've been wondering lately how much I could sell my Castlevanias off on ebay for. I might put up Castlevania (complete), Castlevania II and III. Anyone got a clue how much they might sell for together?

eBay seems utterly dead right now. I think it's waking up slightly, but I'm finding 2600 setups to be getting less than ever. I think that too many people saw the 'roadshow' and enough time has passed that people think they're going to get a mint on their Atari stuff. The latest eBay: too many sellers, not enough bidders.

Nintendo is maintaining nostaligia with ongoing rereleases. Perhaps the NES is just that much more attractive as a retro system (and easier to return to - or start as a noob) compared to the real dinosaurs like the 2600.

I also think that fact that many people that grew up on the NES are still somewhat young and still into video games. If you grew up on Atari you would be around 25-25 yrs old now, and if you haven't bought a new system by now, chances are you probabley won't. While many people that grew up on the NES are around 18-26 and are still in college and want to play with friends, or still play video games on the regular. Just my 2 cents.

I remember in '98/'99 selling 2600 setups w/50 common games on yahoo auctions for $100-$300 easy. I guess those were the good old days. I barely ever find any 2600 stuff around here anymore but I guess that's OK since it doesn't sell well anyway. I have lots of C64s, VIC-20s & TI99/4As but I don't think I will do very well with them. I think I have quite a few Intellivisions too, maybe I should try those instead. I was pleasantly surprised when I was able to sell NES setups so easily. I checked on ebay a few months ago and they didn't seem to be selling so well. There are tons on there now but the demand is really high.

The only way I can read the green text is to highlight it with my mouse. It turns the text white and the background dark so it is readable.

i have several NES systems and have only replaced about 10 sets of pins...most of the others i could get to work, but feel bad selling off blinky systems...

i guess i could refurb the pins..i saw a post for that a while ago..
