Hot on the heels of the popular Street Fighter Anniversary Controllers comes the Limited Edition Street Fighter 15th Anniversary Stick from NubyTech and Capcom. Exclusively available in only one selected video games store chain stateside, this luxurious monster will also be proposed to international hardcore gamers through Lik Sang.

These heavyweight (3.3 Kgs!) arcade sticks are made of arcade cabinet quality components which are placed in an ultra robust housing made of wood and press board. Featuring a true arcade style button layout and feel with the specially designed HAPPS-style convex buttons, there is no better way to bring back the nostalgia of playing Street Fighter. The top of the stick is wearing high-quality graphic-wraps showcasing the beautiful comic artworks from Udon. This creation is of course taking advantage of the microswitch precision technology, the stick being actually of true Coin-Op' quality (Medium Hardspring).
Preorders for this bad boy are taken down for US$ 59.95, and stock is expected to be delivered early December, just in time for Christmas.

I'm getting one, even if it winds up being not the best quality. The art is too badass, and I'd assume it wouldn't be too tough to swap in happ parts if needed.

Yeah, these things will end up being 100 dollars on ebay in a few weeks.... watch..
anyway, i really hope that the box will have a window like the controllers did... thats what sucked me into purchasing a Street fighter controler for a system i dont own @_@ ... darn the packageing will look nice..
anybody know if these are 8 way directional?

Damn that looks really nice. Only thing I don't like about it is that the top is a lot bigger than the bottom. Looks like it would be kind of hard to hold if it was on your lap or something. Other than that it is really cool. Too bad I am too cheap to buy one. :(

it's probably not a smooth(like arcade) 8 way..it'll probably have some bumppy resistance( like the soulcaliber2 one)
i'll hold out and see ,what some other people(dp) have to said about it :hmm: ..although the art/cover work look pretty sweet.
Not to get too off topic, but Is anniversary collection ever comin out for the cube?

Nah I doubt it too. I haven't seen many 2D fighting games on the cube at all. The controls must be horrible. I'd like to see them if a good fighting controller was available. I love Street Fighter games.
SNK vs Capcom on the cube wasnt so bad. I just cant imagine why they wouldnt release an anniversary comp on all the major consoles. Especially when they are making a snazzy new joystick for it all. Well, I hope they do.

That looks really nice, but I'll stick with my two player X-Arcade stick. I don't want that money to go to waste...

Looks great, although I think I'd like it more if the buttons were positioned on a slight angle.

Thats a shame if thats the way it turns out, considering the Super Nintendo (Nintendo) basically ruled the 9O's with the home console version of the mighty Street Fighter II (with all four games, World warrior, turbo, Super and alpha) @_@
But i'll still be getting SF Anniversary for the xbox.. ;) and maybe even the PS2 if there are any real changes between the 2?

What is World warrior? Never heard of that one. Yea I'd love to see it on the Cube too. I would just need a good fighting controller. Haven't seen any for the Cube.

If it comes to the UK i'll definately get it! Can't be dealing with importing something that heavey. Customs would open it for sure!
Why only the US?
It looks a bit chunky and worse designed then the PS2!!

Very, very cool...the art is definitely...how can i said...WOW!!!!!...but very, very expensive for me...but...maybe some day...who knows...
Cheers,

If it really is using real arcade parts then it needs to be pretty big. The buttons themselves usually are about 3-4" deep beneath the surface of the control panel.

that price is really fair imo. i've put my own stick together ( http://www.whoiskeel.com/photos/joystick/ ) and if i remember correctly it cost me $35 shipped for just the buttons and the joystick. i thought about making them and selling them, but i know i couldn't do it for less than $80-100 (assuming i would want to get paid for my time :) ) and who would pay me $100 when you can get an x-arcade for the same price?
i do however, want to make another one with twin sticks for robotron/bangai-o type games :)

That's friggin awesome. I want it, but unfortuneately I won't have the money to get it when it comes out. If it's still around in late Jan early Feb, I'll use the money I have been saving for Halo 2 to get it.

So did anyone end up getting this stick? I had a few questions about it.
1. I've heard that some people have had problems with the stick wearing out after a week or 2 of play, happen to anyone here?
2. Is it for PS2 and Xbox or just PS2?
3. What's the bottom look like? If the stick does go bad i'd like to be able to get into the case without damaging it and replace it.

1.No problems here. Although, I just picekd up my second stick for play and have but about a weeks worth of play on it in two days.
2. Ps2 and X-Box. Even has a slot for an X-Box live head set/ memory card.
3.The cord actually is coiled up into the bottom of the controller. Remove a panel and out it comes. There are 10 small screws and four bigger screws under the pads.
