Not like most people don't know this already, but I figured I'd post it for the people that don't. If you are unhappy with the limited controller distance you have with the colecovision, there is a very simple solution. Hit Ebay (or any place you know that still sells Sega Genesis products) and grab two Sega Genesis control pad extension cables. Not only do they work perfectly with the Colecovision controllers, but they add 6.5 feet! You won't ever have to move the console closer to you to play, and when you have to plug other peripherals into the controller ports (such as the roller controller) , you won't have to figit with plugging them into the awkward placing of the controller ports on the CV, just leave the extension cables plugged into your CV at all times and plug your peripherals into the extension cables when needed. Sooo much easier! BTW: these extension cables will work with any 9-pin connection as well (Vic-20, Atari 2600, C64, Amiga...etc etc)

That makes sense.

Cool!!
Save your CV controller cables people!

I'm trying to figure out a way to do the same for a woodgrain IntelliVision. I don't know for sure yet, but I think phone cords (headset cords) have the same guts. If so, it may be possible to do a controller mod with looooong cords. They wouldn't nest anymore, but hey!
