just an announcement or a 'heads up' i guess. i cant guarantee these will be worth anything, but i picked up n-gage demo games at my local gamestop for $5 each. the clerk told me that theyve been there a long time, as the n-gage stuff is not displayed and most people dont have the system or dont think to ask about used games.

for $5 a piece it might be something to ask about when you next visit your local chain shops.

What games did you get?

A few years ago I found a NCAA Football 2004 NFR demo in the parking lot of a Target store.

That's why I'm staying away from N-gage collecting for the most part. "Hmm...what did I buy...forget." LOL

I would venture to guess that they aren't going to be worth a lot. N-Gage reps that stopped into our store had a bag FULL of them, the list you mentioned above is all I can think of too. There's also a NFR Tony Hawk one from the first demo units that were in-store.

for $5 its worth a try. i have no plan to get an ngage in the near future, so the games dont matter much...

like the SNES demos, I doubt that these will get a good collector's fanbase.

I picked up alot of these recently. I have a mock-up Sonic box and instructions (which have the cover, but just blank pages with 'English' and 'French' etc in the outer upper corner.) I probably overpaid. And for all I know, these were distributed to all 10,000 Gamestops (number not accurate.)

I'm definitely into getting more NGage for $5 if they have 'em. Sadly, it's a major underperformer.

Let's say the handheld market is going to get quite overcrowded quite soon with Gizmondo coming out.

We have: GBA, GB DS, PSP coming, Gizmondo coming, Tapwave, N-Gage. Who have I forgotten?

To be honest - my EB no longer stocks Ngage consoles or games. My GameStation only does a few of the first titles (Which they are still trying to flog at £34.99!!!) and no longer do the consoles.

The only place to buy an Ngage in my town is in a mobile phone shop. Mobile phone shops which only stock a few of th efirst released titles (Which they are selling for about £34.99)

See where i'm going with this?

I think Nokia marketed it wrong. They marketed it as a mobile phone which plays games. No one want's that. They should've marketed it as a games console which doubles as a mobile phone - And sold it specifically in game shops, not phone shops...

Online is the only place I can buy new games these days.

Nokia wonder why the Ngage hasn't taken off - It's because no bloody shop will stock them!

I have a suspicion that a lot of Ngage games will become ultra rare in the future! There haven't been too many released, and wouldn't be too hard to get a full set.

Yeah, I picked up a Rayman 3 not for sale card for $5, and they had 2 Ashen NFS cards, but they were $15 each, so I passed on those... I looked on ebay for Rayman 3 and saw a couple other auctions selling the NFS cards for cheap, so I assume they're not very uncommon :P .

Sorry Promophile, If i had of known, a fellow DP'er wanted it, i wouldn't have gone to $30... sorry about that.. :embarrassed: Just out of interest have you got the Stunt race demo yet? if you do what condition was it in?? ;)

Also where the hell were you (Promophile) last month, (LOL) when a killer instinct demo went for $11, near the end of the auction i couldn't connect, so i missed my chance to bid, and the guy got it very cheap damm-dat-ebayer!! LOL

Actually, that's how it *was* marketed here.
I think it would have done better the way you mentioned LOL

just a quick bump...

didnt plan to get an n-gage, but did pick one up recently, old style, boxed for $50

to anyone paying attention, i recently picked up a demo of 'the sims: bustin out' so thats another that is available. the store i got it at said they only remembar having those already mentioned. let me know if anyone has any others, so i know what to look for!

heres a list of those i know are around

red faction
spiderman 2
the sims: bustin out
ashen
ncaa football
tony hawk
rayman

seems like a fairly high number of demos given the number of games released, but im not arguing...theyre cheap, and i like NFRs.

back when I worked at gamestops we had Pandemonium demos as well, so those have to be floating around.
