I don't mean good. I don't mean great. I mean the BEST.

What games are you SURE that you could beat everyone else here at in a tournament.

I'll throw out a couple.

I am a master of both Championship Sprint, and Yie-Ar Kung-Fu.

Whatcha got, fellas?

I can't find anybody that can beat me at Dr. Mario on NES...but there's not many people out there (that I personally know) that still play that game.

I'll school anyone with Madden and NFL 2K5. :D

I'd also like to think I'm pretty good with RPG's and sim games.

Back in the day there were numerous NES games I could play over and over without losing a life cause I had played them so much -- the Contras, the Castlevania's, the Ninja Gaidens, Metal Gear. Now I'm a bit rusty.

I'm not saying I'm the best in the world or anything, but I am pretty sure I could be most people here at THPS 3. I used to be able to get 20+ million points on a single trick on the regular. Which I'm sure isn't a world record or anything, but it's very good none the less. I'm also pretty killer at Super Mario Bros 3. I can beat it around 13:30, and have beaten the game before without getting hit and doing it under 14:00.

Mega Man X on SNES, beat it 100% without losing a single life in one sitting multiple times... but as far as competition games go, I can't name a one.

Any FPS game with a precision instant-kill weapon(i.e. not a bfg, but a railgun or a sniper rifle-type weapon). Give me a mouse and a keyboard, and I'll make you angry. I once made this kid so angry from playing Quake 3 that he ran over to where I was and put me in some kind of wrestling headlock. Which was odd, because I don't brag or anything like that. I don't even say anything. I just kill you.

I SUCK at Quake III, but give me a Rail Gun and watch me feast on Accuracy Medals.

Super Monkey Ball Monkey Target is my game of glory, I can score over 5,000 pts on a 5 round game. For the first one, this is tough to do. I am sure someone else out there is better, but for in my town I am king!

I need more free time to practice these more important things in life.

Discs of Tron was my game growing up.

I'm also still pretty handy at the 2D Super Mario Bros. games :) I've been able to beat Lost Levels on 1 life, no warping...

At my college, I was the king of the Batman pinball machine as well.

Only one the entire year to break 90 million.

I was going to say the Mario Brothers series, but now seeing everyone else...

I'm decent at 2D shooters like Defender. I am really good at Protector and Protector SE for the Atari Jaguar specifically.

I would also give myself the nod in the original Unreal Tournament. Once I finally got down the whole mouse-aiming business, I was fragging friends that had been playing for years. It seems to only work with the original though... Sniper Rifles = good...

I have to say Mortal Kombat II. Only one of my friends can give me a run for my money, but I still have the overall edge over him. I played it on Midway Arcade Treasures 2 (GC version) and smoked a couple of guys and didn't lose a match.

I doubt there's a person here who couldn't kick my ass at some game, so I'd be shocked if I was even close to the best at anything.

However, I could give some folks a run for their money at NES Contra, Tetris, and Minesweeper ( :embarrassed: )

i have won games against friends by

1. only shooting from behind the red line
2. putting the worst 5 overall players on the ice for an entire game
3. playing without a goalie

the original Legend of Zelda
Metal Gear Solid series (although I do suck at the original on NES LOL )
SILENT HILL SERIES

I hate racing games, but for some reason I stomp everyone in Mario Kart 64. I've played a LOT of people and rarely lose (in battle mode).

I never thought of myself as good on Goldeneye because I was in the middle of my small circle of friends, but when I went to college all those people sucked bad and I had to make myself lose to not piss people off in the dorm.

Gran Turismo. I constantly give CPU or human players a lap or lap and a half head start and still win. No bumper cars and no F1s either. All I need is an Imprezza and you're done.

It's a science. The game is so true to life that I actually had a friend who races cars teach me the finer points of race car driving and car setup....in Gran Turismo. Once I learn a track I no longer make any mistakes. This has helped me to dominate all other racing games as well.

Bring on the online.

I AM THE ABSOLUTE CASTLEVANIA AND CONTRA RULER!!! DO NOT DEFY MY WHIMS!!!

*drinks a slight tad of hunchback blood to parch throat*

Well, in all seriousness, I might not be the absolute best, but I have beaten the original Castlevania without losing a life. Ditto for the original Contra. I beat the Castlevania Adventure at least twice, collected every single item in Castlevania: Symphony of the Night, and have conquered Contra: Shattered Soldier with an S rank, soooooo... certain games in the series I am better at than others. But the first CV and Contra on the NES... them I just rule on, that's all there is to it.

And of all fighting games you can challenge me at, the Street Fighter Alpha series is the poorest choice. ;)

I'm pretty damn good at Splinter Cell, Bubble Bobble, Zoo Cube, and Soul Calibur 2.

Bubble Bobble, Zoo Cube, and Soul Calibur are just a couple of games I was able to pick up and become instantly good at. I was even able to beat Bubble Bobble in my first sitting with the game.

And I contribute my sucess with Splinter Cell to having a lot of paitence. :P

Sweeet. That's impressive. It took me years to beat that game because I always got stuck at the last castle...

But what games for me? I r00lz yoo in Contra and Super C.

I can beat both of these on one life and go through the game several times on the regular old 3 lives...I think I beat Contra 7 times in a row on 3 lives and just turned it off in boredom because I maxed the score.

Castlevania...I've beaten that on one life a couple of times.

Batman for NES I have beaten on one life 2 or 3 times...one of which is on tape.

Mega Man 2 I have beaten on one life.

You know, check this thread:

http://www.digitpress.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=2939

I think I list a bunch of games i have beaten on one life.

But in Contra and Super C I am unstoppable. I should brush up...I'm probably rusty.

Star League Baseball (Atari 8-Bit)

I have a buddy who used to play this as a kid as well, and when we discovered this we challenged each other. He's memorized pitch counts and fielding placements and the whole nine yards. But I've still yet to lose.

My pitching eye is pretty accurate. My defence is good. And you'd better protect the steal baby because I'm all about small ball....

You must have the MAGIC CANE when you go through the castle. :)
And then be ready to use it perfectly on the first try when you get to that uncrossable chasm.

If you screw it up and fall, or don't have the cane, you are faced with an underwater spike-filled death trap that will make you rip the controller out of your system.

Goldeneye is my game, i am nearly untouchable. I almost never lose, except for Remote mines at the Facility. Other then that i can't be beaten. Doesn't hurt that i memorized the spawn points/cycle so i know exactly where the other players respawn once killed.

Like Juggla before me i DOMINATE ANYONE in GoldenEye.(N64)
10 minutes it was a 3 on 1 match let the 3choose the map and weapons, power weapons(they could have shoosen worse) and Complex(BIG MISTAKE), i had 60(+) kills.

Same thing with Worms World Party (DC)
I have 1 loss(maybe 2) and it was the first match i played. I got to 58 wins in arow and stopped playing in fear of losing because it was 14 (level 5 ranked) worms against my 2.

UMK3 (Genesis)
I haven't played in years but when i did i was untouchable with manycharacters, Scorpion Noob Saibot, Sub-Zero(Classic aswell), Cyrax, Sektor, Nightwolf, etc, etc.

Pretty good at Columns too (Genesis) my highscore is just under 10 Mil. If i didn't have to help my mom do something i would have been higher though...

Those are the ones that spring to mind at the moment.
