Little late to the party but anyone playing this?
I downloaded the demo version a week ago and it seems pretty fab. I don't have access to a steering wheel, currently playing from keyboard but I've managed to win a race or two on the Pro setting.
I was going to try the online play but I have no desire to race against complete strangers so if someone is willing to let a noob join in (and give a hint or two), I might have a go.

Played it some, but I usually stick with Grand Prix Legends and NASCAR Racing 2003 Season on the PC when I want to get the wheel out to do some racing online.

Sweet. I'm not a NASCAR man but I do love GPL. Nothing beats Ferrari playing the high note. :D It's amazing that there's still new tracks available every now and then even though it was released six years ago. Definitely a game that deserves a sequel.

I agree
Sadly it didn't sell well enough for Sierra to allow a sequel to happen. Why more people didn't want to recreate the 1967 Formula One season on their computer confuses me. It seems like a great concept to me, had it sold well we could've got a Grand Prix Legends 1972 recreating the early days of winged F1 racecars (Almost happened, was cancelled at the last minute :( ), and maybe other eras such as the early to mid 80's when they had 1,000 hp engines and no traction control (Can't imagine driving one of those around Monaco). Sadly gamers these days don't like simulations, and something like Grand Prix Legends can take years to master. Ask most gamers what a racing simulation is and they'll say Gran Turismo, when it fact its hardly a simulation. No wheel spin, no clutch, no locking up your brakes, no damage modeling, can hit cars and not suffer anything. Got to work to just spin your car out, Michael Schumacher isn't earning 50 million a year if driving a racecar was that easy.
Now Papyrus (The developer) doesn't even exist anymore. Vivendi killed it off a year ago. But another company formed by Papyrus's founder was created and has bought the physics engine used in Grand Prix Legends and NASCAR Racing 4/2002/2003 and is developing a new PC racing simulation that should incorporate several different racing series.
We may see Grand Prix Legends 1972 yet. I can't give anything definite yet, my sources have sworn me to secrecy (Edit - It's 2011 and iRacing has been active for several years, but no attempt to simulate earlier seasons of F1 has happened to date).
