I have the misfortune of working at Wal-Mart. Whenever I get time during the day, I wander of to electronics to see what did or didn't come that day.
Last night I walked up to see that again, we still didn't get Paper Mario 2.
I took a quick glance at the ever shrinking PS1 section, and found something that I was surprised to see. There amoung about 20 sports games was Final Fantasy IX non-greatest hits. The lady I talked to is clueless about videogames so I didn't bother asking her. I just said I'd like to know the price and then probably buy it. Turns out with my lousy employee discount the game was $19.82.

Not the guy at the register was pretty surprised about seeing that old game there. Everyone is assuming that that was the only copy we recieved.
So for $20, I et a nice little sealed nonGH Final Fantasy.
What do you think? Rare find in a Wal-Mart or no?

I haven't seen any FF game in Walmart for a LONG time. I had lots of fun with FF9, you'll like it. :)

Poor guy. Working at Wal-Mart. I'll pray for you. ;)

That's a nice find. All we get for some reason like ALL THE TIME is half a dozen copies (GH version) of FF VII. But they actually sell!

Also, you still haven't gotten Paper Mario 2 yet? We've had that at Kmart since release day.

Yea I guess that's a pretty good deal. As long as it stays sealed the $20 was well worth it. :)

One of our local department stores has a sealed copy of Einhander and about 8 sealed copies of Omega Boost. There's even a sealed long box PSX game. They've been sitting there in plain view for YEARS. One of these times I'm gonna grab them. It's great living in a small town where if it isn't next gen, no-one gives a shit.

Sealed copy of Einhander? For how much? And why haven't you grabbed that yet???

Because like I said.....it's crap to most of the population. Around here it's all about the XboX. This is a SMALL town. I've literally seen it sitting there for at least 4 years. There's gotta be damned near an entire 2600 library at one of the pawn shops. No-one wants it.

I'm gonna go and do some Christmas shopping and pick it and a copy of Omega Boost up this weekend. That game was fun.

I understand all that. You totally missed my point that you should really go back and pick up that Einhander. :D

Yeah, it was pretty cool. Since I already have a copy, I'm gonna sit on this for eBay fodder one day. Gotta save up for that Famicom Twin System ya know?;)
There are about 3 really interesting things in our strange electronics department. There's 3 copies of Mario Party 3, 2 copies of Tony Hawk Pro Skater 2 for N64, and my favorite....Home Improvement for SNES. I'd buy it, except they want $30 for it, and even though it's an R5, even I have a hard time swallowing $30....
