Hi,

Unfortunately we were unable to bring this title to Europe due to technical
reasons but we plan to bring the sequel to Europe in the future.

Kind regards,

Technical issues? O_O

There are possible technical reasons why running at 50hz would cause problems if the game was coded for 60hz. For all we know, the physics engine could be tied to the 60hz timing and be totally broken with anything slower. I guess they didn't want to or just couldn't get the resources to update the game for PAL speeds.

Metroid Prime 2 has been released in PAL regions and it only runs at 60 Hz. Most PAL TVs (read all TV less than 10 years old!) can run at 60 Hz. Maybe they don't have the balls to release it in a 60 Hz only format! I think that they probably don't think it would sell over here - most quirky games don't...unless it's got cars or a football in it nobody gives a shit :(
