Was it made for a particular game/games..?
Is there a list of games that are compatible with it..or that work well with it.
While playing ACE COMBAT 3 ELECTROSPHERE I realized I have this Dual Stick PS controller that may be compatible and thought let me try it with this game..
But never figured out what it's really for..In games.
It works well with AC3E (PS)

THANKS..
(Using this stick with AC3E reminds me of ACE COMBAT 5 with it's special controller)

I've never seen a controller like that which plugs into only one port. I guess that would rule out Robotron, Robotron X, and any Crazy Climber imports. Hmmmm. :hmm:
THE absolute BEST and most COMPLETE useage of the PS Dualshock controller was with the game Ape Escape. The developer made a concious effort to have a constant use of every button, including L3 and R3. I'm not 100% sure, but I think that it was the first game to make use of all of the buttons.

I tried starting a thread like this a few months ago but didn't get many responses. Probably because the stick is such an unusual accessory and nobody knows about it. Allot of the Namco games seem to work well with the dual analog joystick. Treasures Of The Deep is one of my favorite games to use it with. I also hear it works flawlessly with Assault on the Namco Museum Vol. 4 disc.
I'll post some more when the names come to me.

Most Flight stick games will work with it.
Also you can play the awesome Armored Core series with the sticks.

it may not be very good in today's standards, but Gunboat works.

Would Robotron X work with it?
I've seen one of those around town, and as a big Robotron X fan (despite it's flaws) I would get one of those just for that purpose :)

Right, but did you take a look at that stick he's talking about? Not a dual shock. That's a totally diferent beast.
All I can think is Virtual On, except it's the wrong system. LOL

Gunship is another one that works well with it. Steel Reign too.
BTW I've got an extra one of these joysticks for trade if anyone is interested.

If it works, please tell me! I don't know if it does (I kinda doubt it...) but it would be so awesome if it did.

This stick came out the same year as Ace Combat 2. I know this because I got the first analog joystick (the one without Dual Shock motors or rubber on the analog sticks) and when I pressed the "Analog" button, it had 3 settings for some reason: no LED light for OFF, Green LED light for analog, and Red LED light for Analog Joystick. I remember playing Ace Combat 2 with this controller, and when I would press the "Analog" button and cycle through the three settings, the onscreen option menu picture of the controller would change from a regular non-analog PSX controller, to an Analog PSX controller, to the Analog Joystick. I am 100% sure that this stick will work with Ace Combat 2 and 3, and with all the Armored Core PSX games. Dunno about support for anythihg else.

With that joystick Descent for the PS is awesome. All you need is two systems and those joysticks and link play is amazing.

Maybe most people already know this (but i didn't at the time): Please be warned that this stick only works on a PS1, the analogue mode is *not* compatible with the PS2...
LOL....yep, I see what you mean. That ain't no dualshock. Ape Escape would be a nightmare.
Just for fun, have you tried playing an arcade racer with it? I was thinking something along the lines of.....Wipeout XL.

it might work for wipeout.

Now that would actually rock, and I kinda like that game. Can anyone confirm on this?

Unless you really did mean "I", in which case I would point out that that's something only you can determine.
Take me, for instance. I'm not compatible with any of the Madden PS2 games.
;) I say for joke. Really!

Meant "it". Anyway. Saw one for sale in a store in town (out of package) for $11 and was just curious if it was worth it. Yeah, it's pretty cool lookin', but the only games I have that are listed here as compatable would be Ape Escape and Wipeout. It would ROCK if it could be used in something like Rebel Assault II.
Hmmmmm.... Shall I? I'm leaning towards yes.
