I'm watching a few on ebay at the moment but I really have limited Christmas funds this year and don't want to waste all my time looking for a "good" deal or to be outbid and then end up -you know- getting a package late for Christmas.

As for why I waited this long in the first place? :P Well I've been pretty much stumped on gift ideas for my boyfriend this year, I know he wanted Donkey Konga but I don't want to just rush out to a store and pick him up something off the shelf. I've been racking my brain trying to think up something that would be speacial to him. And of course the only reason he's interested in Donkey Konga is duh he loves Samba De Amigo. :P

So I think a pair of Maracas would really surprise the hell out of him. Not to mention having a package that big and long under the tree will keep him guessing until Christmas morning.

Anyway I recently sold an Amp on ebay for spending money and I have around $120 to spend on his gifts. Now I'd like to get him more then one thing but, there ya go that's what I have to spend. So even if I spend say $70 on the Maracas I could still afford Donkey Konga. I know the maracas are fairly rare so I'm not hoping for miracles, but I figured it couldn't hurt to ask. So yeah any offers?

Help.

(:

Donkey Konga isn't all that great anyway, stick with its better cousin Taiko Drum Master" :)

But no, sadly I don't have any maracas. However, I DO know you can get the third party maracas fairly cheap ($30ish) at Lik-Sang. For 470, you could have two player fun-ness!

Yeah but I know he hates those. :/

Thanks for the suggestion though.

I bought my sega maracas on ebay a while back and unless things have changed alot since then, you're going to be looking at $100 for them, new..used..or abused. And I would say definitly go with Sega's here...it's the smart move, just a bit more pricey.

I had one set for sale but seeing you are in states the shipping would be the killer given its shape... and besides it's no longer for sale since x-mas is coming and we will be using both sets... :)

good luck finding one locally as I bought two sets from local sellers - and I might add at a good price since I was buying two sets at the same time...

cheers

70 bucks? Those things have kept their value really well.. considering I bought them new when they came out for pretty much that price.

I paid $100 locally for mine new......incase I didn't already say that and the price seems to be climbing on ebay....even with them being shipped from Japan in most cases...

$70 for complete maracas is on the low side. $100-$120 is average (at least for the US version).

Wee!

Normally I would never bid on an auction with a stock photo but in her case, she's got great feedback and ALL her auctions use stock photos.

Plus she seems pretty adament that she's selling the Sega brand maracas.

Still...

I'll take a pic of mine since mine is open and the maracas haven't been removed. That's a good deal with the game to boot. I don't have the funds to buy things off the internet anymore but V.2000 is available via bit torrent.....i'll see if I can't post a pic though so you know what it looks like having never been removed.

Thanks I'd apperciate that.

I know Paul already has the game, but it may just be a burn, he has a lot of those. But maybe he'd like to keep a sealed copy too. Anyway I'm pretty excited to have won that auction, sniping got kinda crazy at the end.
