Secret Santa 2k4 Update!

Ho ho ho!

Okay, so by now, you should all have the name, address, and want list of the person you're playing Santa for, and have hopefully made some headway :)

The shipping deadline is a week from today, to make sure all the packages get where they're going by Christmas. Please remember that if you're having difficulties, email me to let me know!

Okay, so what I'm going to ask now is that everyone either email me, or post here when they've shipped out their gift, and for people to either email me, or post here, when they've RECIEVED their gift.

Here's the REALLY important part:
Don't open that gift when you get it.

Seriously! :) If you can hold out on opening that gift until Xmas, then I encourage you to do it. If you can't, we can't take the gift back, but DO NOT TALK ABOUT YOUR GIFT. That's all I ask. Don't post on the forums who your gift was from, what your gift was, nothing, until we start up a thread right around Christmas day, where you can post all about it to your hearts content. Don't post questions asking if anyone is from the location of your Santa; if your Santa didn't put a forum name, wait until Christmas to ask who it is. Just wait. Three more weeks. Should be easy peasy, right? ;)

I have several items, but have been hoping to get more on ebay or elsewhere. Will likely ship on the last day in hopes of getting more stuff. Would be easier if there were any overlap with items I have. But has been fun to scout around for games for systems I don't have. I did a little detective work by reading posts of my giftee and will be sending some things (s)he talked about on here but not on his/her list. Sneaky! :evil:

"Mail-by" date is December 11, so all the Secret Santas have until this Saturday to get their stuff in the mail. Allowing for typical mailing times, I wouldn't truly expect to see anything until mid-next week at the latest.

So....anyone dragging their feet needs to be aware that your deadline for having stuff IN THE MAIL is in *6* days. Might want to wrap it up! :D

I'm in the same boat as PapaStu here - I had everything pretty well ready to go, and then *BAM*, had to change the majority of the package mid-stream. :eek 2: Hopefully the appropriate things come in the mail to me this week so that I can immediately turn around and mail them back out by the 11th.

With my luck, I figure they'll arrive on the 11th, and I'll have about 2 minutes to repackage them and get them in the mail before the Post Office closes. LOL
